this is the best school better then my old one and miss wheeler is the best teacher

The staff, from the top down, does not take kids saftey very seriously at all, very concerning. We are in the process of looking for a better establishment.

I had a very troubling experience with the principal, Mrs. Fitzsimmons. My son is an autistic first grader, and we provided the school with all required autism documentation and paperwork prior to enrollment. We also followed the school’s instructions to have him evaluated for an IEP so appropriate supports could be put in place.Despite this, during a pickup conversation, Mrs. Fitzsimmons stated—directly in front of my son—that due to his autism, he could no longer attend the school. She further said that she “would never have accepted him if she knew how autistic he was.” No child, especially a first grader, should ever hear something like that.She informed me that his “last day would be Friday,” giving less than a week’s notice, without following proper procedures or offering accommodations or support. This appeared to be solely because the school no longer wanted to work with his needs.It was only after I escalated the situation to the district superintendent that this decision was addressed; otherwise, it would have gone forward. The contrast between how welcoming the school appeared during our tour and how we were treated once my son was enrolled was stark.Based on my experience, this school does not adequately support children with special needs. I would not recommend enrolling a child here if accommodations or understanding are required.

I have never felt more disrespected by a school than I have with this office staff and principal. I cam to discuss an issue regarding my child and the lady in the office made it seem like it was a joke and a waste of her time.

This has been one of the most disappointing elementary school experiences I have ever encountered. Unfortunately, this concern extends beyond a single issue and includes teachers, office staff, and school leadership. I have personally witnessed staff members behaving in ways that I consider rude and disrespectful toward children, parents, and visitors.It is troubling that children are expected to demonstrate respect toward peers and adults when there appears to be a significant lack of respectful behavior being modeled by some of the adults in the building. Children learn by example, and the current environment does not consistently reflect the standards of respect that are being demanded of them.Additionally, I share the concerns of other parents that incidents of bullying are not being adequately addressed, and that the school often appears to turn a blind eye to these issues.One positive development this year is the principal’s decision to step down, and I hope this leadership change creates an opportunity for meaningful improvement. I sincerely hope the district and Board of Education step in sooner rather than later to ensure that necessary changes are made to better support the students and families of this school.

Awful school... Transferred my daughter here in 5th grade, hoping to have a positive experience.. But haven't everything but that... The teachers gave up on her, they mistreat her because they feel like she has behavioral issues.. which is prob bc they treat her like dirt... It's just been an awful experience.. and don't recommend this school one bit!

My family came here from public school and I am so thankful God opened the door for us to be at NCS. The love and care for each of my kids is evident. Of course it is not a perfect school but we aren't in heaven yet. NCS is very family oriented and desires to be open and welcoming to the families. We have loved the academic structure but also appreciate all the fun events and clubs. I can't thank God enough for making a way for us to be here and can defiantly feel the Holy Spirit present on campus.
