Our family wanted to leave a review about why we left the school as a result of bullying. We're writing this because another family currently going through the same situation, with the same bully, contacted us for support using a previous year's directory. Our kindergartener at the time had been bullied at the school, which is hard to believe at their age, but it does happen. Our child was shoved from behind, punched (in the face on one occasion), forced into a hole during a construction period (church was being upgraded), chased with scissors, and other incidences. Our child began having night terrors, was biting his nails, and showing other signs of stress/anxiety. It was horrible.The teacher acknowledged it as bullying, but later retracted that when we involved higher level administration. The school's bullying policy has little follow thorough and substance in practice -- the response was a tremendous failure. We left St. Luke based on our pediatrician's recommendation.
