6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying, harassment and tormenting. Not even from the students but from the teachers and staff that I believed to be greeting my daughter every morning. My family was so happy when we found out we had been accepted into the Madrona K8. Me being raised a low income household and bad neighborhood, I especially thought this would be an awesome experience for her. Only after a couple moths of my daughter began to come home crying. Really just disappointed in the people they have working at the school and the environment they have created. Definitely excited for her to begin school at Sherwood Elementary down the street which I’ve been hearing is much better.Parent Review6mo ago8 Reviews - Unassigned Special Education

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a good school, but the middle school science classes are too crowded, each class size around 30, not enough room to accommodate all students, and absolutely not enough room for lab activities. This is not a safe setting.Other Review7mo ago12 Reviews - Special Education Contracted

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt all looks great on paper. Small private school, non religious. Catering to neurodiverse children. Unfortunately, the catering to neurodiverse students is grossly exaggerated. As far as i can tell, the staff had no training whatsoever in differentiating instruction or helping neurodiverse students. Communication is a joke. Teachers don't email you back and the head of school will say anything to make things right without any actual follow through.Honestly, I think the school hides information so parents don't get upset. They went too far when they didn't call me about an injury to my child that resulted in an ER visit shortly after pickup. The teaching practices seem archaic. I really regret sending my child here. I'm worried he will be very behind at the public school next year.Parent Review11mo ago50 Reviews - Living Wisdom School of Seattle
