5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two kids at JFK and we love it. The teachers and staff are all so welcoming and caring to all the kids and the school itself is beautiful and very thoughtfully set up thanks to the renovations. They do a great job at tailoring the experience for kids with break out sessions based on what kids need (enrichment, extra support, etc). When my kid wanted more challenging work, the teacher came up with some extra projects that were super fun. Overall we've found it to be a welcoming, responsive, creative place.Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - International Children's School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageICS is a hidden gem! It provides the best education I know of in this area. This school offers a very high level academic curriculum in a caring atmosphere. Academics are rigorous, but taught in a way that engages students so that they own their own learning, which lets them enjoy it. Students gain independence but also learn how to collaborate effectively. The faculty is second to none. The student body is very diverse. We feel so lucky that we found this wonderful school for our daughterParent Review7y ago11 Reviews - St. Francis Xavier School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWith multiple children, we have been at St. Francis Xavier for many years. All of them started at age 4 in the Pre K program. It is a place that our children feel at home when they are not. All have thrived in this safe and secure school environment and were well prepared for the rigors of a preparatory high school. The teachers and administration all work together for the success of each student. The community at St. Francis is strong with participation from all families. It is a very comforting place to spend any extra hours you may have volunteering. St. Francis Xavier has a strong academic curriculum that includes Catholic faith, art, foreign language, music, STEM, digital learning and RECESS for all. We couldn't be happier to be part of this thriving school. If your child needs something more, check out this school. You will not be disappointed!Parent Review6y ago13 Reviews - Mater Christi School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a current 9th grader at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, Vermont. I went to MCS from 5th through 8th grade, so I spent a total of four years there. Overall, it’s a great place with genuinely good teachers. There were a few I didn’t necessarily like, but that’s just personal preference. The school has a really welcoming community, and most people are super chill.Classes were medium in difficulty, definitely challenging sometimes, but I felt pretty prepared for high school afterward (even if I forgot everything over the summer...). MCS was great, but the only thing I'll miss are two friends that I probably won't ever see again, yet MCS was definitely a big part of shaping who I am today. I think it's because high school is absolutely crazy compared to middle school... (and I don't know if that's good or bad)The classrooms are tidy, and most teachers really care about what they’re doing. There are also occasional field trips, which were always fun (whether it was out of state or just somewhere local). Academically, MCS helped me grow a lot, and it really did feel like a safe place!! And if you're wondering about clubs, athletics, or academics, you can find all that and more on the MCS Website (mcschool.org)My advice: If you ever need help, talk to the teachers — they’re really there for you. Even if it feels scary, they’re willing to help as long as you reach out. There were many times when I felt isolated but was too afraid to ask for help, and I wish I hadn’t been. Please don’t be afraid to speak up. You’re not alone. And also… just be yourself. People aren’t as judgmental as you (and I) think they are. ;)8.8/10 — would recommend this school. Really solid overall. If you consider attending this school, make the most of it! My middle school years felt pretty wasted and there's a lot I wish I could've done, but once it's gone, it's gone. Thanks for reading!! Have a great day or night !!!! :)Other Review5mo ago28 Reviews - Hiawatha School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFantastic school with the most dedicated, kind, and sensitive teachers/staff/principal out there! We live in the area primarily for the wonderful schools. Intervention, and enrichment opportunities are appreciated. The teachers know how to meet the needs of EVERY child! I feel so lucky that my daughter and I are part of the community.Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews
