"Often times, police and ambulances like to visit here. The neighbors are friendly. The pets always keep things exciting with offering free dog fights, cat fights, and flea bites."

"There is a Colortopia, plenty of restaurants for every budget, and the premier Gun Club in Texas. There is access to major chain stores and small businesses as well"

"I commute to the medical center almost daily and it’s a pretty lovely drive. It can be congested going from one freeway to another at peak times but it’s still a fairly decent commute comparatively speaking. "

"Friendly neighborhood and most people around this area are quiet. It is very nice area for family and city centre is nearby for more options for stores and restaurants. "

"Good commute, many options to get in and out of the neighborhood. The u-turn at I-10 and the Beltway can be a bit dangerous but haven’t had any issues yet. Also the light at Lumpkin and Westview has had a few accidents recently with people either intentionally or accidentally running the red light."

"Only certain neighborhoods are safe. For the most part it’s quite unsafe. There so many apartments around and it tends to get dangerous. Police is frequently searching and chasing people "

"Sure, dogs are welcome here. In fact, theyre so welcome, no one can own just one or two, but a minimum of 5. I love to hear a whole kennel barking at me each and every time I walk to my front door. Sure! Please open up more kennels nearby! "

"I grew up here, can walk around the neighborhood in peace. It’s quiet at night with minimum disruptions. The schools are culturally well mixed, food around is so good and can be found cheap. Authentic family owned restaurants and lots of shops to explore. "

"I grew up in this neighborhood and the schools are great. Like any neighborhood its got its up and downs. i wouldn't recommend taking late night walks or hanging out after dark. I like it because your so close to many things and they have plenty of shops and grocery stores "

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy little girl has been in this school since kindergarten and was bullied until the beginning of second grade also got dropped off in wrong bus stop at a very dangerous area in the neighborhood this school does not really let parents engage in activities with the kids. My daughter has only had one field trip in the 3 yrs and it was just making slime I don’t feel like they really care for the students .communication is horrible list goes on and onParent Review3mo ago3 Reviews - Sherwood Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWould not recommend school, they are very biased towards POC. My child was neglected at the school many times coming home with a broken arm, dehydrated because they refused her water at school after playing in 80 degree weather, she also came home more than once with hives. Until my child has attended she’s never had any issues like this and the principal is very hard to get into contact with and the staff is disrespectful and unorganized. They definitely do not have the best interest of your child at heart.Parent Review4y ago11 Reviews - Woodview Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son started at The Branch School two weeks after we moved from CT to TX and 5 weeks before the pandemic shut everything down. He finished out his preschool year virtually with The Branch School. Being only 4 years old, he was nervous about going to a new school. The staff and educators were so inviting and focused on making him feel safe and secure. There were several times he would cry at drop off back in CT at his old school, but not once did he cry at TBS! He loves the attention he receives upon pulling up to the school (everyone knew his name and the often play music to get the kids excited for the day) in the morning and is always eager to head off everyday. He is now in Kindergarten at The Branch School and being half way through the year I cannot say enough good things about it. Not only have we witnessed tremendous academic growth, but he has also grown emotionally as well. We love the individual attention each child receives and all the hands on learning whether inside the classroom or in the outdoor classroom space. Going to school during a pandemic had us nervous, but the safety precautions TBS put into place have been superior. The entire community has done everything they can and more to make the children feel safe, welcome and loved during this trying time. Having interviewed at several private schools, we are so happy with the decision to send him to TBS and grateful for the education and experience he has received. The Branch School has set our son up for a very bright academic and social future.Parent Review5y ago25 Reviews - Sherwood Forest Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Sherwood! Couldn’t imagine our kids in any other school. We’ve had both our children in since 2020 and will continue here through Elementary. The staff is wonderful, teachers are so nurturing and respectful. It is a small but mighty school that goes above and beyond for each individual student.Parent Review5mo ago8 Reviews - Rainard School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA welcoming school with a talented and kind staff. They’re involved with the children and help them grow as individuals. Our child is thriving for the first time (5th grade) and actually finally loves school. He is happy and learning so much. They go on field trips and make learning interesting! I wish we could stay here after 8th grade.Parent Review4y ago62 Reviews - Westview School
