"there is crime and gunshots but mostly happen at night. be alert if you're walking down busy streets. because of gentrification it is getting a bit better and there are pockets where you can feel safe while walking.. all in all if you are out at night just be mindful and street wise.. there are drug addicts and drunks that walk the streets at night.. it is very trashy and there are drug rehabilitation centers in the area.. I have seen needles on the ground as well"

"Farmer's market every other weekend on the corner of Long Point and Huge Oaks, with local food vendors, including Asian food and a guy that hacks up a coconut with a cleaver so you can have a refreshing drink."

"I drive my own vehicle. I do not rely on public transportation. Occasionally I ride in an Uber or a Lyft depending on where I’m going/ what I’m doin."

"Love living in Kolbe Farms - Holiday lighting contests in December, easter egg hunts in the spring. Lots of young families and empty nesters walking the amazing trails in the neighborhood. Great Pool! "

"There’s a lot to do around here. I moved from California. There’s a few malls close, parks, and downtown is not too far."

"Knoll Crossing is very diverse neighborhood with regards to , age, race, economics. It is an extremely safe neighborhood. All neighbors know each other by first name and, additionally, there are at least two community gatherings per year in order to keep those connections. We are all original owners. There has never been a re-sale. There has never been a crime report. Also, we may be the only neighborhood in the area that did not flood during Harvey. "

"Great developing neighborhood near the amenities of the city but still affordable. Lots of residential streets and small parks that are great for dog-walking - you see lots of others out as well and people are always friendly! "

"Nothing, there are no community events to speak of. It’s a working class neighborhood with lots of children. It is a large park that is somewhat utilize by the kids."

"This is a great family neighborhood where families get to know each other, but are not intrusive. Everyone looks out for each other. And you can find people walk with their families, dogs and friends at all hours of the day. "

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI like this school for our son.The teachers are really dedicated to the students, dynamic, caring, open to communicate with the families. They also make a lot of effort to have the parents involved in the school, although not many parents actually get involved. The facilities are great.Parent Review7y ago5 Reviews - Hollibrook Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs someone who went there and sent my son there i cant express how much we love this school. I purposely didn't move because our kids really enjoy this school and the staff. The teachers a re really engaging with the kids and build a relationship with them. They've helped my son in so many ways, from helping him understand why he struggles with reading to the process to take in and out of school. I always recommend this school to anyone who is questioning where to send their kids.Parent Review10mo ago5 Reviews - Buffalo Creek Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had an IEP meeting for my daughter on 5/21/2025 to receive a phone, since I couldn't be there in person, that I signed a document. They never called me, I called the school, the lady at the front desk said, give her five minutes, she will call me back, hours passed by, so I called again & left a voicemail mail, with my information & i still not received a phone call back. Have yourself a fabulous day.Parent Review11mo ago4 Reviews - Clay Road Baptist School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe reviews on this site are pretty dated and it's time for an update. This school is an amazing hidden treasure. Every single person in this school - the principal, the teachers, the staff, the parents, the students, and the church as well - are the most welcoming, generous, open-hearted people you'll ever meet. The kids work hard but they thrive and it shows in their positive attitudes toward fellow classmates and adults alike. I have no doubt that my children are getting the best Christian education available. Try this school out, you will not be disappointed.Other Review10y ago6 Reviews - Central Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen our son went there, he was emotionally tortured several days a week&several hours on those days his teacher turned him over to class bullies while she left the room leaving no adult supervision. He was once forced to eat pizza off the floor or go without. He would ask to go to the bathroom&the teacher would send a bully after him. He was assaulted in that bathroom frequently. Brother Jacobs frequently accused our son of disturbing class&made him sit in the office for hours missing classParent Review1y ago16 Reviews - Campbell Learning Center
