After the TURMOIL and pain this unorganized sorry excuse for a school system... That hires literally anyone with NO EXPERIENCE .IF I could give this place 0 STARS I WOULD

It’s interesting to see a perfect 5-star review posted right as a former 8th grader expressed their obvious lackluster experience. A 17% math proficiency rate doesn't really line up with 'learning something new and exciting' every day; it feels more like a PR attempt to cover up the actual data and the experiences of students struggling with bullying and basic academics. I agree with the recent alum; the specifics about 'collective punishment' and the lack of high school prep ring much truer than a generic 5-star post. A school honestly can't be 'family-friendly' if the students' mental health is suffering to the point of unenrolling.

This school is terrible, theres no A/C in the school, I enrolled my son with special needs in May 2025, went to meet the teaching in July and they didnt have my son enrolled, I have to re enroll my son 4 more times, because their explanation was that " they didn't have or lost the enrollment paperwork", they called me this afternoon at 3:50pm saying my son was going to be transferred to another school because of over capacity, if this was an issue before why wasn't this brought up before enrollment, not only that but they also have my special needs son transferring over to another school and needing me to withdraw him the next day and starting the next day also, my son has a sibling in this school and his grandpa picks him up at school when it dismissal time, and has no other transportation, he isnt good with change, so him barely getting use to this school was alot of change. When i tell you DONT HAVE YOUR CHILD ATTEND THIS SCHOOL, I MEAN IT DONT HAVE YOUR CHILD ATTEND SCHOOL. THEY CHARGE THE KIDS FOR EVERYTHING EVEN FOR A FREE DRESS DAY WHICH IS $5, AND YOU WOULD THINK THE MONEY WILL GO TO FIXING THE A/C BUT THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE KIDS.

My experience at this school was absolutely AWESOME!! This school was not only a place of employment, but it was a close nit family oriented school within the community and among the staff. This school makes me feel like the sitcom "CHEERS" I wanna goooo where everyone knows my name. The staff is so loving and understanding as well as knowledgeable. We achieved so much more because we worked together on one accord to accomplish the tasks at hand. Mrs. Kiser is an impactful leader whom motivates the students to strive for success daily. Mrs. Moore is a great listener, and great teacher in which she continues to bring joy in the classroom. I really appreciate Ms. RAYFORD for the inspiration and motivation that shed light into my situations. She motivates students, and encourages them while bringing excitement to the classroom. Nurse Dones is very sincere, trustworthy and hard working nurse who is great at what she does. The ancillary team are AMAZING!!!!! I want to give a shout out to Coach Cornell, Ms. Blackwell, Mrs. Simmons, annnnd MR. Makoge for all the hard work and dedication they pour out! They made my day enjoyable ALL THROUGHOUT THE DAY! Ms. A in PALS class for having the ideal model classroom setup showing education in motion. There are so many things I can talk about, but most people forget those small things that really matters. I am thankful for the journey I experienced at Grissom. They always will be my Grissom family.
