DO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENTS TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT THEM TO GET AN ACTUAL EDUCATION!!! Dr.Nelson ( the principal ) will threaten to fire your teachers if they fail a student because they are not doing work. How can a student actually learn if everything is being handed to them? Students do not complete the work, but instead he wants us to lie about our grades so the ratings can stay up in the school can get more money.. students test, scorers or low and barely participate in the classrooms. They are vaping in the restroom, but they are focused on smaller issues within the school so he can put more money in his pocket.

This school is still geared toward Hispanics. My student's teacher is intentionally allowing him to fail while supporting the other children in the class. The teacher will allow the other children to redo work for a better score while giving my student no feedback at all and recording his low scores. All this even after I reached out to both teachers making them aware that I am an active parent and want to be kept abreast of my student's shortfalls. Nothing. No communication from any teacher unless I call the school and complain. Now I have to remove my student and teacher them from home, only because this public school in Dallas ISD cannot be trusted to educate children equitably. Also, they don't know how to communicate with the parents of new students, because having new students, in a public school, in a state that is experiencing growth, is a foreign concept to them.

Let’s see where do I start with this school? I have two kids that have attended the school. One of them have attended for three years and the other this would be their first year this year I have to say has been the absolute worst when handling and interacting with the school. I’ll keep this review to this year for time purposes… none of the teachers have the same communication style or App they all use different ones. The school website is never updated with important information such as the star testing dates are any other testing dates for easy access to the parents. I understand they serve an area that is majority Spanish speaking literally everything in the school is in Spanish and little to no English translations. My son has been bullied all year sometimes for being the odd one out not spanish speaking and neurodivergent and each time it is dismissed and unaddressed. I have left numerous voicemails with questions and concerns with the front office, the vice principal and principal and they will not call me back, I’ve have the worst experiences with a teacher that should have been fired from the very first incident putting is hands on my child and instead of me getting the decency of a returned call or email I get a class dojo message…. No accommodations have been made for my child even after going through disd to get a diagnosis and sending forms at the beginning of the year…. Needless to say this will be our last year there,
