This school is still geared toward Hispanics. My student's teacher is intentionally allowing him to fail while supporting the other children in the class. The teacher will allow the other children to redo work for a better score while giving my student no feedback at all and recording his low scores
Posted by a parent on 2/12/2021I was so miserable my parents resorted to magnet schools. The teachers taught only for the staar test and did nothing to better those who needed more challenging material. I was excluded because I didn't speak Spanish and barely had any friends.

Principal is out in front of school every morning and after school and always makes presence felt only complaint I have from last year was they had a horrible horrible field day they did nothing competitive and I believe this mostly the p.e. teacher faul

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENTS TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT THEM TO GET AN ACTUAL EDUCATION!!! Dr.Nelson ( the principal ) will threaten to fire your teachers if they fail a student because they are not doing work. How can a student actually learn if everything is being handed to them? Students do not complete the work, but instead he wants us to lie about our grades so the ratings can stay up in the school can get more money.. students test, scorers or low and barely participate in the classrooms. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is horrible, do not recommend at all . This school has not been helping my child at all. The principal Rubinna Sanchez is so lazy that she took the 6th grade teacher and put them her into another class instead of finding a new substitute for the class. This school has been planning so much stuff as in, “new part of the building” or,”we will fix the portables” but instead they keep on buying raising canes and having teacher partys meaning they are spending all the funds on party’s instead of what the actual students need. The counselor doesn’t even teach the children my child came home to me and said,”the counselor got mad and instead of trying to calm us down, she whipped out her phone and started doing her own thing for the remaining 15minutes.” This school also always have substitutes working instead of actual teachers.
