Cedar Grove

My grandson was enrolled yesterday and everyone seemed so nice and seemed like they really care for him and his education. I came from a 10/10 school in Nashville and was worried about the ranking being a 6/10 but my worries were put to rest when he came home happy and was up ready for the bus this morning at 6:30 when he is used to being on the bus at 7:45 with struggles! I think he is going to have a wonderful school life at Guild!! Go Gators.

I am both an alum of Sumner Academy and a parent to a current kindergartener. As a student, Sumner Academy truly felt like home. The teachers and staff cared deeply, supported us wholeheartedly, and made learning something to look forward to every day.Thirty years later, when it came time to choose a school for my own children, there was never a doubt in my mind that Sumner Academy was where I wanted them to be. My husband, who also attended private school, didn’t share that feeling. He hated school and was hesitant to invest in a private education. We ultimately agreed to let our eldest attend for one year—just to see how it went.That one year changed everything.My husband has been completely taken aback by the culture at Sumner Academy. The teachers are attentive, warm, and consistently communicative about our child’s progress and growth. On our drives past the school to visit family, our child lights up—sharing happy memories, making heart shapes with their hands, and reminding us how much they love their school.Seeing our child genuinely excited about learning has been incredibly meaningful. We are so thankful to Sumner Academy for fostering not only academic growth, but a true love of school—just as it did for me all those years ago.
