5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a momma bear and if I can’t say anything else about myself, I can say I will fight for my kid. I never thought I’d have to do that against a school. A place where your child is supposed to feel loved and safe. My child went here for 2 years, we had some really good experiences, but for us the bad out weighted the good. If you’re moving to the area, I highly recommend staying out of the zoning area for this school. I had to call every school in the district and get on their lottery list just to get my child away from that place. They claim to be “safe” but I’ve seen otherwise. They claim to “care” about the students of all abilities but trust me when I say I’ve seen otherwise. The “principle of the year” is extremely unprofessional, and after my last interaction with her I had never been so grateful to leave a school. If you want to fight for your kid constantly, worry about the chance that they won’t be treated equally because of something they can’t control, or stay anxious for their safety this isn’t the school for your kid. I will preface this by saying, tho was my family’s experience. Not everyone has the same opinion and experience.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Northeast Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Northeast as a kid, and now my children go there. It's just as good today as it was 30 years ago! The teachers are wonderful, and the parent organization is very active and supportive.Parent Review14y ago5 Reviews - Cookeville High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCookeville is a fantastic school. They offer so many options that my child would not have access to at another school. As a freshman taking Honors courses, as well as an AP course, and receiving afterschool assistance to get caught up in the math - I could not be more proud to have a Cavalier student!! My only negative (4.9 STAR) review is due to the fact that there isn't a safe place for the teens to go to after school. There seems to be no rules/regulation/supervision in the LEAPS program which is very disheartning to the point that I would not allow my teen to be there, and I have chosen to giveup my lunch break for an early pickup once school is out. This is unacceptable that my child does not feel safe in that environment.Parent Review3y ago9 Reviews - Algood Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have no knowledge how regular classes are conducted but the special needs classes are exceptional in this school. The teachers are caring and try their best to give these children everything they need.My son is Autistic and went there from 4th to 8th grade and excelled tremendously. His speech got so much better he can express himself and his feelings now.He also is very good in math loved the sport program's and the extra activities that were available in that school like swimming and visits to a horse stable that were qualified to work with special needs children. The children also give you valuable information what is available in the community for special needs children if you ask them.My experience with this school was the best. Also a personal thanks to Ms.Walker and Ms.Best who made our experience with this school so exceptional.Parent Review11y ago7 Reviews - Algood Elementary School
