As a parent of three children at the school, I can only say wonderful things about the teachers, staff, and leadership. The communication is great and JBE offers a family atmosphere to learning. The class sizes are smaller than other schools in the district and my children are THRIVING here.

When my daughter first began attending, things seemed to run smoothly; however, after my son enrolled, I began noticing several ongoing issues that have become increasingly frustrating.One of my main concerns is the lack of communication between the school administration, staff, and parents. If my children are having behavioral, academic, or emotional difficulties during the school day, I believe those matters should be communicated directly to me by school staff rather than relayed through my 9-year-old child. Effective parent-teacher communication is essential to supporting students, and unfortunately, that communication has been lacking.Additionally, the school frequently requests financial support through restaurant fundraisers and other events where the school receives a portion of the proceeds. As a parent, I would like more transparency regarding where these funds are being allocated, as I have not seen many noticeable improvements within the school aside from the playground area.Another major concern is the tuition being charged for the Montessori 3K–5K program. I do not understand why EP Todd charges families for these grade levels simply because the Montessori label has been added, while other schools within District 7 offer these same early education grades tuition-free. Kindergarten is considered a foundational educational requirement, and I believe all children should have equal access without additional financial burden placed on parents.I strongly feel the district office should reevaluate the policies, communication practices, and overall structure at EP Todd School to better support both students and families.

They have some good teachers here, but they wipe a lot under the table trying to cover their butts here when stuff happens with your kid. The assistant principal Watson … do not care for her at all!

Westminster Day School is Outstanding. The Love and Attention these children experience at WDS is unsurpassed by any other elementary school I've known. I felt thoroughly supported as a member of this unique community and recognize how very special our time there has been.

The deaf school is based on state standards. The classes are small so that students can receive some one-on-one instruction. The teachers use ASL to teach. The students have a Promethean Board in each classroom where students have interactive lessons.
