What Locals Say about Woodruff

  • Katie Anderson
"We live in an isolated area in the outlying area around Spartanburg. We have a Woodruff address, but seldom go to the actual town of Woodruff. It is growing, and the old downtown is being restored which is good to see. New industries in the area are driving the growth and the demand for housing, but it is very sad to me to see the open land being plowed up for crowded and cheaply built housing developments "

"Not a lot of after school activities in the area. However the are is up and coming and thriving. Good school district in Spartanburg district 4."
  • Marleneunicelp
"They make events for the holidays, and we can all be part of that. "
  • Michelle W.
"Across the street there's a gully. We see deer cross it frequently. We've seen as many as 10 crossing through it at all once!! I would say that it was a quiet neighborhood, but you can hear nature all day ! The birds start in the morning and the cicadas and frogs take over in the evenings. "
  • Bwkiggins
"Great area, quiet, but close to shopping and restaurants."
  • Nicikiddo
"We live in Woodruff, SC - pretty cool little town. Needs more businesses on Main Street to put some neat old buildings to good use. Could use a major store for clothes and general shopping (i.e. Kohl's, Penneys). People are friendly, there are some good places to eat, two grocery stores (Food Lion and Bi-Lo) and pharmacies (CVS, Rite Aid), and everything is pretty nearby."
