Slater

This was the best school I ever attended. I was here pretty much all my elementary school years. Everything was always positive and calm. The special education program was very good. And I don’t know if they still do it, but battle of the books was very great. The teachers are also great. Definitely the only school I remember fondly. The only thing I didn’t like was you weren’t allowed to talk at lunch when the music was playing. If it would’ve been some music other than opera music, the Forrest Gump theme song, or the Beatles on piano though, it’d have been fine. Maybe they’ve changed that, if not though, I’d recommend something that appeals to today’s youth, like instrumental pop or country. I’m in 10th grade now and this school definitely influenced me for the better.

My son was struggling in a different school, barely passing and always getting in trouble. It got to the point that I felt like the other school was bullying him so I transferred him to Slater. It a matter of weeks he went from not wanting to go to school and failing to loving school and thriving. Slater has been very supportive of his needs and issues.
