5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a child with disabilities at this school and it has been like pulling teeth to get help for him. They are not forthcoming about the help that is available and seem to mostly ignore the bullying that takes place. They waited two years to start a 504 plan even after repeatedly being asked to.Parent Review2y ago11 Reviews - Calhoun Academy Of The Arts

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average-Church based school-Non-certified teachers (mom's from the church) and only one per subject. If you don't get their style of teaching, you've wasted your time. There is no additional help provided. My child comes home crying often due to being humiliated in class by a teacher. The "Headmaster" is spineless and takes no action to address.-Good sports opportunities-Bullying comes from the parents, not the children/students. The amount of judging and gossiping is immeasurable, especially from the parents that are associated with the church.-Homework is piled on purposefully to give the impression it's an academically challenging school. However, given the quality of teachers, its merely a smokescreen.-Constantly haggling about giving more money- We attend only because this is the least of the 2 evils between here and Public school and the kids have friends there. Anderson has no other good private options.Other Review4y ago4 Reviews - St. Joseph Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have attended this school since I was two years old and wouldn’t have it any other way. The small classroom sizes force students to learn how to interact effectively with others in an interpersonal environment, which is something you can’t get at a large public school.Student Review6y ago5 Reviews - Anderson Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnqualified teachers are routinely hired. Some longstanding teachers are qualified, but only a few remain. Turnover rates of both families and teachers are high. The administrator routinely makes promises and does not follow through, and attempts to hide issues at the school. Straight answers will not be given to valid concerns like school safety and teacher qualifications. Leadership is lacking. Kids are taught by example that integrity and honesty are not important. The school is not what it once was.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews
