"There 3 parks in easy walking distance. And a 4 th park if you want a longer walk, so there are plenty of green spaces for pups. Dogs do have to be kept on leashes."

"No community events per se, but outdoor concerts in the summer. People help each other out in a neighborly way and look out for each other"

"There is not much public transportation in this neighborhood. Generally, people use private automobiles to make their commutes. "

"There are several parks and access to harbor to walk your dog too. There are several dog stations so if your pet has to go and you are missing a bag, you’re covered!"

"Fifth Ward is the best for Halloween and others area drive in for it. In the summer there is a weekly music in Wellington Park. Kids that baseball, can do so right on the harbor at Hogan Field."

"It’s a 30 minute walk to work, but I could take a local trolley if I wanted. I could also ride my bike on inclement weather days."

"Across the street from King Park and Newport Harbor. Some of the best views in town with an active harbor to watch during the 4 seasons. Great park for walking, playground, concerts. Just a few blocks to Thames St and all the shops, restaurants and entertainment year round."

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children in the Newport Public Schools - I could not imagine sending them anywhere else. The diversity among the student body is such an asset. I am so happy that my children are able to attend a school that is a representation of the world. The teachers are fantastic. They really care about the students. The available courses is astounding - from AP Literature, AP math and sciences, multiple AP history courses, dual enrollment course, an amazing array of choices in vocational classes as well- there is really something for all. My children are able to take AP and dual enrollment courses at the same time as taking challenging, hands-on computer and graphics courses.
