"Access to transportation is widely available, this includes buses and the tram to and from downtown. Traffic isn’t bad at all around the area if you have to drive somewhere."

"It’s a place where every house has at least one car which means it’s important that you have the kids play at safe location or in play ground. "

"Access to the T-line is within a 5 minute walk and there's plenty of necessities within walking distance. The drive to Downtown can be difficult in bad weather due to thw high probability of flooding on nearby streets. "

"I moved to Castle Shannon last year and absolutely love the area. I have polite neighbors and a sense of safety in the community. There is a full range of family run restaurants and small businesses nearby and a real appreciation for the emergency services, especially the Fire Department. "

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. The teachers and staff there are absolutely anazing. They not help the students, but they will tutor them and work with the students till they understand the subject. Myrtle is definitely the way to go in the Keystone Oaks School District.Parent Review13y ago1 Reviews - Abraham Lincoln Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn terms of public schools, this school is perfect. There is a very strong PTA and school board that is very involved. The students are eager to learn and help each other out. The fact that it is in a walking school district really makes it not only a school, but a community. The teachers really care about the kids and foster their love for learning. It is a great place to raise a family because you are surrounded by people who care about your child's education.Parent Review12y ago4 Reviews - Young Scholars of Western PA Charter School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is O.K, It could be better the lunch Is not the best. We have a very amazing social studies teacher. The bullying is never taken care of and if you don't listen they will get very angry at you, also if you spell a word wrong once your grade goes from a B to a D. How you're treated by teachers can vary a lot some are very accepting others are not it's a coin toss which it'll be. A lot of problems tend to get put aside and victims can get consequences that are worse than the person who started it.Student Review1y ago33 Reviews
