"I lived in Ben Avon for the past 8 years and it's been one of the best areas I've lived in Pittsburgh over the past 30 years. Ten minutes into downtown Pittsburgh, good public transportation, 15 minutes to just about anywhere...shopping on McKnight, access to the airport (through Sewickley), etc. Seeing the old-style Victorian houses on weekend walks has been great for me and my family. People really take care of their houses in this area. Basically the same feel as Aspinwall without the crazy home prices. HIGHLY recommended!!! "
