NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been a parent at Good Shepherd for four years thus far. My daughter has enjoyed her years at Good Shepherd and we have had a very positive experience. The teachers are caring and kind, yet challenge our kids to do the best that they can every day. The administration is supportive of our children and welcoming to the parents and families. The school encourages parental involvement which we appreciate, we enjoy being a part of our daughter's educational and social experiences. We are very happy at Good Shepherd and look forward to the years ahead, as well as looking forward to our other children attending the school!Parent Review8y ago25 Reviews - West Shore Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe enrolled expecting a Christ-centered school with strong values, fairness, and transparency, but unfortunately that has changed over time. Major curriculum changes were made without parents being properly informed, and the school now seems to follow public schools rather than offering the distinct Christian education many families expected. There also appears to be favoritism, where families connected to administration receive different treatment. This creates an unfair environment that does not reflect the Christian principles of integrity and equality.Leadership has become very one-sided, and there has been a noticeable decline in faculty and staff retention. Many of the strongest teachers and administrators have left, and it seems difficult for the school to keep quality staff long term.Families who have reached out for financial assistance have reportedly been denied, while tuition continues to rise. At the same time, there have not been meaningful additions to sports, clubs, or academic opportunities. The new high school building raises additional concerns. It does not include a gym or lockers, lunches will need to be brought over from the middle school because there is no commercial kitchen, yet administration offices were fully renovated first. This sends the wrong message about priorities.Overall, it feels like the focus has shifted away from students, Christian values, and educational growth, and more toward image and finances. Families looking for broader opportunities and stronger transparency may find better options elsewhere.Parent Review4w ago7 Reviews
