What Locals Say about Manchester

  • Kennedy A
"The people and the location. The township is great, homeowners association is amazing a school district is second to none. "
  • Kennedy Alajemba
"This is a great neighborhood. I like the fact that everyone respects each other. Although, the idea of having a commercial truck in the neighborhood and use it to disturb other neighbors in the middle of the night is very absurd. "
  • Mhunt27mh
"Nice quiet community. Humble place to live. Loved here all my life and even with changes and newcomers the feel is home"
  • Nininjada
"it's a good area to live quite and the people are friendly.I love how close I am to everything the town is small but it's truly amazing I just like the setting and how it's not in the city"
  • Tiffany G.

  • Randy C.
"Quiet and peaceful to walk around neighborhood. Manchester has a great selection of restaurants and places to eat. The Halloween parade is one of the best around. "
  • Randy C.
"They have a Halloween parade on Main Street. One of the best parades around. The turnout is unbelievable. People line the streets for a mile or more. Very kid friendly, they will leave with a bag full of candy every time. "
  • Mike
"Great schools. Great place to raise a child. There are many different school options in the middle and high school do a great job at preparing people for life after high school"
  • Francesmayrim
"Can’t elaborate as I don’t have children. Safe, clean area. About 10mins from I-83, 30mins to Harrisburg. "
  • Gregory C.
"I have a Lotta good neighbors stores are close take long walks with my dog it’s a nice place to live"
  • Kim H.
"I moved to York County in 2007 from the Baltimore, MD suburbs due to increasing cost of living there. Being born & raised in MD, it was a hard adjustment for me at first, especially the farmland. But, 5 years later, I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER BEING FORCED INTO DOING SOMETHING I DIDN'T WANT TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I have children in each stage, from one that just graduated HS, one in elementary next year middle and a pre-schooler. The area is really safe, clean, crime-free, and people friendly, Everything you need is not too far to get to, and there is a little bit of something for everyone. The community involvement in all aspects from local fund raisers to parades to holiday functions is bar none the best and closest knit I personally have ever witnessed. Also, its a much more innocent and healthy environment to raise kids up to seniors needing clean air and beautiful scenery. Nothing bad comes to mind to say.... except, you really need to have a car to live around here, unless you live in the heart of Manchester, by N.George & Musser, but if that's the worst I can say, we're all doing pretty good. Would recommend this area & surrounding cities to anyone who wants to live the quiet, wholesome, down-to-earth lifestyle."
