"The Lancaster rec center is close by and it has a lot of activities available for children. Local churches often host events for the community. The city is working to revitalize the neighborhood. They have recently added a nature trail and created a new playground behind the rec center."

"i lived on the corner of manor and old dorwart st for 9 years.the neighbors are noisy, discard trash on the side walk and passing cars also drop the to go bags from their cars at the intersection, music blaring from cars and neighbors home so loud that the residence windows rattles.people walk their dogs to deficate on others property or leave it on the side walk.they also vandlise neighbors cars,or property.drug dealing is in the open, worst kept secret in lancaster that this area of cabbage hill is the drug dealing top area.landlords are slum property owners.they only fix up the homes or apartment only if the city code only if city codes are involved in a complaint.physical confrontations are common occurance.drunks urinate in public.no one cares to clean up any of the trash on the streets.tenants becomes owners of cats just to keep rats and mice under control then abandon the cats when they move out."

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first year at Lafayette. I think the principal and staff are wonderful. There are after school activities, sports and groups that meet. There are free breakfasts and lunches for all students, regardless of income. What I feel is lacking is the gifted/ accelerated program. But there is a wonderful warmth and diversity to the school that lacks in many suburban schools. The school is working hard to improve parent involvement and there is a strong anti-bullying program implemented. I would recommend this school.Parent Review14y ago - Price El School
