Columbia Heights

Two of my 3 children attended Columbia City Elementary. Through the years we have had a wonderful experience. The support of the staff and teachers is so personal. They are more like a family. Truly caring for all the kids that attend. Times have been challenging for everyone these past few years, especially for our kids and school staff. We are so thankful for the physical and emotional support Columbia City has offered.

McBride has been an excellent school. We have been liking it a lot more than our previous school in another city. Our children have all had great teachers. They've helped them succeed. Even during the shutdown they made sure they were doing the best they could be. We have one child with an IEP for speech. He needed help as well for reading and was able to make great progress to catch up.

Awesome principal and really dedicated teachers, office staff, custodians, and others who are doing their very best with the tight budget and larger class sizes. There are many parents who volunteer in the classrooms. They offer really interesting afterschool programs, especially on Wednesdays when the school releases 90 minutes early. Our two children are very happy and we are dedicated public school parents. Keep up the good work.
