"The Pearl is struggling a bit. Lots of trash, inconsistent camping, tons of poop not getting picked up."

"It’s across the street from the park blocks but the neighborhood is plagued with homeless camps and human piss & feces that smells and you have to clean your dogs feet before going back into your home… and leave your shoes outside your door "

"I recently visited my daughter at The Sutton and was blown away by the stunning architecture and breathtaking views. The management team is incredibly kind and welcoming, always ensuring residents feel at home. The Sutton hosts a variety of engaging community events, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among residents. This community truly exemplifies luxury living and is the perfect place to call Home! "Parades that form under our window. Art in the Pearl is an annual Labor Day weekend event. We have the best grocery store anywhere - World Foods- along with friendly people and great public transportation. And the walkability score is 100!"

"The walking and shopping can’t be beat. Friendly people live on this well maintained park block. Summertime we see parades originate from the park blocks and marathoners run by. In autumn the park blocks host the world class Art in the Park."

"Commute to Hillsboro/Beaverton area with no issue and get back with very minimal traffic. Have also used the train to commute and it is also very convenient and my preferred method of transportation. "

"Love this area. Beautiful carefree city lifestyle. Public transportation nearby, located in the best of everything that Portland City life offers: great shopping, local businesses and large retail too, music, elegant and casual dining, coffee shops, nearby museums, Portland main library, easy access to symphony, theater, various athletic clubs, access to walks along the River and in City parks, and a neighborhood feel. And easy to meet friends. "

"It good, but the city is struggling to solve the homeless program and the ongoing civil unrest. Other than that, it’s a great place to live. Good restaurants, parks and bars. "

"events at the park and first Thursday’s are great. It not a far walk to the Saturday market down by the waterfront. There needs to be more bars and restaurants farther in the North Pearl. "

"There is a huge dog park in the NE section of the Pearl that everyone goes to called The Fields. It’s great for letting your pet run loose and burn some energy."

"Wonderful parks, but there aren’t many children who reside in the area. Mostly apartments and condominiums "

"Lots of dogs being walked on leash. There are fenced in dog parks for med-large dogs and separate ones for small dogs. The Fields Park provides a maintained very large grass field. Lots of dog bags & disposal bins."

"dog parks are ok bit not centrally located .... playgrounds are nice but there are so many tweakers and weirdos passing through periodically that it hard to relax with your kid at the park. you have to be really vigilant "

"I have lived here for six months and it is a pretty quiet city compared to places in the east coast. Grocery stores, shops and restaurants are close. The Pearl District is very clean. "

"I’m not aware of many events but the area is great. Very walkable and close to everything. I prefer the area closer to 13th and Lovejoy the best"

"like- dog park not like- more concrete than grass or tree some newer buildings have dog area on site, otherwise you're taking the elevator to get your dog outside, no grass guarentee "

"After retiring in New York last year, my husband and I chose to live in Portland for a number of reasons. Among them are outstanding public transportation (we sold our cars), great walks and accessibility, charming shops, friendly people, and close proximity to nature. "

"The Pearl District is an area of Portland, Oregon, formerly occupied by warehouses, light industry and railroad classification yards and now noted for its art galleries, upscale businesses and residences. The area has been undergoing significant urban renewal since the mid-1980s when it was reclassified as mixed use from industrial,[3] including the arrival of artists, the removal of a viaduct and construction of the Portland Streetcar. It now mostly consists of high-rise condominiums and warehouse-to-loft conversions. It’s great "
