"Lots of young families and the parks are so close no need for a huge yard! First city we’ve lived in where we’ve become friends with our neighbors."
  • Trulia User
"We are a one car family. We easily and happily walk or bus most places. It feels like living in the burbs will all the amenities of living in a city. "

"Great neighborhood. Lots of young families, dogs, foot traffic from near by Alberta Arts. Countless shops and restaurants steps away. Walkable, runnable, bikeable. "
  • Christopher M.
"Ainsworth has a big boulevard down the middle of it that is popular to walk your dog down. And there is a huge park at the end of Ainsworth and 37th area!"
  • Kate G.
"On a bus line. Easy commute to downtown by car. Could take public transportation easily. Easy walk to grocery and restaurants. "
  • Savannah P.
"Lots of families with children. Slow traffic so many children ride bikes and play basket ball in the street in front of their houses. "
  • Savannah P.
"Cute bungalows, well maintained gardens and and art galleries make this neighborhood a beautiful one to live in."
  • Mike B.
"It’s a unique area with unique people. Not so desirable in my eyes...but everyone is different. One way streets, poorly kept yards, and a Portland weirdness that some may appreciate; not so much me."
  • Avetter123
"Fernhill Park has one of the best off leash areas in Portland. Wiltshire and Alberta parks are within easy walking distance."
  • Sara C.
"Great community with great local parks for pets. Quiet. Streets are a little small and most residents park their cars on the street making driving around difficult "
  • Diego A. S. A.
"There is a lot of cars but most people here have pets. So it’s kinda nice and stuff. Hope this helps. "
  • Nina H.
"Lock your doors and keep an eye out on your car, ppl been opening the gas tank. Did some research on the neighborhood there’s a child predator that lives around Concordia!!!! "

"I work early and close so it's an easy straight shot drive to work. minimal traffic midday but heavier traveling back to Concordia in the rush hours. public transit and biking is great too. "
  • Bradford D. P.
"I just moved here and I love the neighborhood and areas around it. It’s small and quiet, yet there’s a lot of shops and things to do. "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 1 year and absolutely love it. My favorite neighborhood in Portland by far. A great mix of young professionals, families, retired individuals are dispersed in my neighborhood. All all very friendly and easy going. Very dog friendly park (Alberta park). Tree lined alleys are great areas for getting away from city for a walk. Neighborhood is close to mcminamins, new seasons, Safeway, Me 24 hr fitness, and all the shops on Killingsworth/Alberta. It can be expensive to live here but is well worth it, definitely an up and coming area with lots of development ahead."

"The Last Thursday event on Alberta Street in the summer is quite magical with crafts, music, and food. They close the street to traffic."

"Lots of dog friendly homes and interesting streets and parks nearby. Thoughtful neighbors. Safe and quiet street. "
  • Zerofi
"It's a neighborhood where virtually all struggling families have been displaced. It has rapidly gentrified and many smaller, affordable homes are being demolished in favor of new, overpriced McMansions and McDuplexes."
  • Himynameisnaomijean
"It’s a neighborhood made of amazing people instead of just “hip” businesses. Also, best bridge in Portland, hands down. "
  • Mary R.
"This Concordia neighborhood is absolutely charming, a lovely park, great for walking and beautifully maintained by its residents. And Kennedy School and New Seasons are just around the corner!"
  • Mes w.
"This is the best area to live in Portland - close to all amenities, quiet, friendly neighbors, close to bus and Max, totally walkable/bikeable. "
