One of the standout highlights of Britton Elementary School is Mr. Kuwantu Cammon, the Visual Arts teacher. Mr. Cammon creates an engaging, supportive, and creative environment that genuinely resonates with his students. He fosters a love for art while helping them develop critical skills in creativity, problem-solving, and self-expression. His passion for teaching and dedication to his students is evident in every lesson.Under Mr. Cammon’s guidance, Britton’s art program has earned significant recognition, including being a finalist for the OKCPS Teacher of the Year award and the OAEA Art Teacher of the Year award. His students’ achievements have also garnered prestigious honors, particularly for their award-winning ceramic projects. The ceramic program, in particular, has given students the chance to explore and develop their artistic talents, resulting in impressive success at both local and national exhibitions. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated educator shaping the minds and skills of our young artists at Britton!

My son has attended Quail Creek Elementary School since August 2023, and throughout that time we have experienced consistent communication failures, lack of accountability, and unresolved concerns related to bullying and student safety.From the beginning, we clearly communicated that both separated parents needed to be included in all communication regarding our child. Despite this, I was never informed that I would be excluded from phone communication due to enrollment status until after a serious bullying situation occurred this school year. This information should have been communicated proactively, not after a crisis.Concerns about bullying have been raised since kindergarten. Despite repeated reports, the school has never proactively contacted us or provided documentation regarding bullying or behavioral incidents. All information has come directly from our child, even though he has been instructed to report concerns to teachers and staff.I made extensive efforts to be involved in the school community, including attending events, joining the PTA, completing a background check, and volunteering. Over time, I consistently felt excluded and unwelcome, which ultimately discouraged continued involvement.Most concerning is that communication issues remain ongoing, even after repeated assurances they would improve. On 1/21/2026, the school counselor promised to call me that same day. I confirmed my correct phone number was on file and placed the call from my personal cell phone when that promise was made. I did not receive a call.The next day, the counselor contacted me through the TalkingPoints app to state that she had attempted to call but used an incorrect phone number. I again provided and confirmed my correct number and reminded her that I had emphasized ensuring the correct number was on file. I also provided availability for follow-up communication on 1/23/2026 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. As of this review, I have still not received a call or follow-up.Additionally, despite sharing these concerns publicly after multiple private attempts to resolve them, I have received no response from the school.At this point, I do not feel confident that communication with parents is reliable or that concerns involving student safety are addressed with urgency. After years of patience, respectful advocacy, and repeated opportunities for improvement, I am deeply concerned about my child’s well-being and the lack of meaningful follow-through.

Was a past student at this school, and I would NOT recommend taking your children here. I still remember in 4th grade, the nurse wouldn’t help (Context; I was suspected to have scoliosis, and had to ask the nurse. All she did was look at me from afar and say “You don’t have it.” A year later, I was seen for it, and I DID in fact have it. I understand she’s not a doctor at a hospital and can’t do xrays, but c’mon man? At least check?) the teachers would scare the children, they’d teach in different ways that wont help in the near future, they would BARELY give bullies and kids that are harsh any consequences, etc. I’ve waited long to report this, and this school should up their standards, because i’ve heard it’s still the same as how I went to school there. I’m not even saying this because I hate the school and want it gone, I genuinely want it to be better and hire the right people for it. Have you seen the reviews?

Nichols Hills Elementary has been a blessing to our family. The teachers and staff are incredibly amazing, and they genuinely care about the students. I’m not just saying that to waste my time.Every year, they put on an amazing musical with each grade, and the music teacher does an incredible job with those productions. They also have an amazing librarian who is very involved with the teachers. She gets each class in weekly for reading buddies or a library-related activity. My son even loves the PE teacher and her activities. So, you just can’t go wrong here!

I think this school obviously has some problems. It is easy to know that the kids hate this school and everything it stands for. From teachers making hate comments to children being bullied and teachers not caring one bit about it, this is a terrible school. I advise you to look for another school if you want your kids to be safe and actually learn about Islam.

I am a staff member at CCS. My daughter has been on the waitlist for several years and despite being a part time employee there and being very involved with the Church, we have been rejected year after year. The emails state because of siblings - basically if you have one child already in the school, all your other children automatically get in. I would not recommend this school. They literally wait 2 months before school is out to tell you if you get in or not, leaving very little time to plan for other options.
