"Lived here 11 years. Had children here. More and more younger families moving in. It’s been a wonderful place to live. "

"We’ve lived here for 20 years. Lake Hefner, which is a reservoir for drinking water and a recreational park, borders us on the north. The neighborhood association (which is voluntary, 35/year to join) monitors threats to the lake and our property values, vigorously protesting polluters’ attempts to locate their operations nearby. Our neighbors are friendly, quiet, and pet-friendly. Our proximity to the lake makes it easy to enjoy protected walking trails, fishing, kiting and sailing. One of OKC’s few off-leash dog parks is very close. Our location is near enough to major streets to make traveling anywhere in OKC a breeze, but not so close as to expose us to road noise and fumes. We are a stone’s throw from grocery stores, and a major hospital. Our area public schools are highly-rated. We use the Nextdoor program amongst ourselves to communicate on matters of common interest, such as returning lost pets, beautification activities, and safety issues. Residents can choose from several cable and satellite internet, TV and phone service providers."

"I live in Edgewater and have been on the Neighborhood Association Board for over 5 years. The Board has a neighborhood picnic every year at Stars and Stripes Park that is well attended. We are a low crime neighborhood area. The landscaping along Portland from NW 67th to the Lake road is maintained by Edgewater. The area is in a turnover phase when residents that have lived here since it was built are passing on or going to live in assisted living nearer their children. Young families and young couples are moving in because of the ideal location, walking distance to Lake Hefner with its golfing, walking and biking trails and picnic facilities. Penn Square Mall is conveniently close as is the Integris Medical campus. Being right at the intersection of Northwest Highway and the Hefner Parkway, it is easy to get anywhere in the city. People enjoy living here and many are second generation."

"I live in Edgewater. It is such a convenient location. Hefner Parkway is less that 1/2 mile. You can get anywhere in the city very quickly."
