4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are not supported by the district. Classes are at maximum 28/29 in a class. It’s more like a day care than an actual learning institution. Half the time my daughter was on a computer doing Iready math and reading or working on some work sheet her teacher handed out. No actual teaching is being done. They refuse to take action when kids are being bullied or beat up. They don’t want to lose any child in the district because that would mean less money for the schools. So they either don’t take any action or put the child in a different Akron public school. All they do is pass around problem children from one APS to another APS. Racism is very prevalent. Kids make fun of other children biased on color and disabilities here all the time. Especially on the playground where teachers just stand and talk to each other instead of watching the kids closely. They will pass your child through the grades just to show on reports kids are passing. Meanwhile kids can’t even read and write and are behind grade levels. Unfortunately your child will only be a number, a dollar sign for a failing district that is desperate for money. And will sacrifice your child’s education and safely for there greed. Do yourself a favor and look into the education choice scholarships, nearby districts for open enrollment and charter schools. Your child deserves it.Parent Review1y ago3 Reviews - Rimer Community Learning Center

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRimer is such a sweet little school. The teachers all know all of the students names and greet them with smiles and hugs. Students try and are happy when they learn. There are many family events and opportunities for the parents and teachers to meet/ talk including texting! The teachers that we have had have been very responsive and friendly. Luckily I haven't had to deal with my student being in any disciplinary situations, we try to send out child to school with manners and respect. I think that most of the families at Rimer are like us. We don't have a lot but we want the best for our kids and we're willing to pitch in to help make it happen.Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Crouse Community Learning Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the most impressive aspects of Emmanuel Christian Academy is its commitment to developing the whole child—academically, socially, and spiritually. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment where students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. The emphasis on faith-based learning helps students grow in their relationship with God while also instilling strong moral values and a sense of responsibility.Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - St Vincent Depaul Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMany of these reviews are misleading considering the negativity. I was a student at this school last year, in eighth grade, and up until now I have been at this school since kindergarten. I really like this school because it really shows children how to grow in their faith and to think for themselves. This school teaches many problem-solving skills and life lessons I would have never learned if I had gone to a different school. Also, I've made many friends that I will have forever. Since there is only one class per grade level, students can become very close friends with their classmates. Honestly, this school isn't perfect, as any other school, but I learned so much, and really discovered more about who I am. For this, I can really thank the teachers and staff. Although everyone's had their moments, we all felt like a family, which made it better in the end. For example, if you were going through something, either hard times or needing help with homework, they would always guide you through it and support you. I can't say much for the parents, because I am not one but, I do recommend this school. I get that it may not be for everyone, but I had so much fun at this school, so I just thought I would write a review.Other Review2y ago10 Reviews - St Paul School
