"Greenwood is so beautiful. The only thing I hate abt here is that it’s so expensive and it’s so hard to find a place to park ur car. But if you have the money and patience to own a car and find a parking space this is the right place for you. There’s rlly good nearby schools I attended ps295 and new voices which is in the same building and I absolutely loved my time there"

"There is a nice playground. Many elementary and middle schools. That’s all. No ice cream places or toy stores in the area . It’s dirty everywhere. Some People are nice , but there are loud music and noisy in the night sometimes. "

"Green word is such a beautiful place to live. It’s not noisy might be cause of holidays but that’s it. Safe at all hours and days. Close to transportation. I live near 5th ave and always take the R or B63. But it is a hard time to find a place to park your car and it is expensive but if you have the money and have patience with finding parking then this is the right place for you. And it’s close to schools if you have kids "

"You cannot take your dog into Greenwood cemetery so I’m commenting on the person who said people don’t pick up after their dogs in the cemetery. In general, many people do not pick up after their dogs past 6th Avenue down to 4th between 15th street and 23rd. It’s a problem. We have dogs and continually pick up after people when our dogs go in an effort to keep our streets clean. "

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school should be shut down. Everyday I hear stories of bullying and instead of helping the victim, they basically say to suck it up. Biases from authorities, frequent fights, and an environment where students dread coming to everyday. This is not how a school should be run. On top of being incredibly irresponsible, they are well aware of all their issues. During student evaluations, instead of allowing the students to say their true feelings and problems with the establishment, they told the students to lie. Why? Because they know if anyone else found out about these horrific conditions they're forcing the kids into, they'd be shut down immediately. If you love your children and don't want them to grow up insecure, confused, not to speak up, don't send them here.Parent Review1y ago28 Reviews - Ps 295

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love PS925 - I've had two kids grow up here. The school is small - the teachers and admin know everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and supportive. The community of parents is great; there is lots of participation in the school and down-to-earth, inclusive atmosphere. The school is serving a diverse community and does it well.Parent Review6mo ago16 Reviews - P.S. 172 Beacon School Of Excellence

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnfortunately things have gone downhill a bit in the last couple years. Some of the best teachers have left, some of the current teachers really not up to par. Complaints to school administration are met with tepid responses. Their wonderful parent coordinator passed away last year and that leaves a gap that simply cannot be repaired, she was the glue holding many things together. Mostly white teachers with mostly BIPOC students. I would think twice about sending a neurodiverse student here too. They will continue to score well on exams because they teach aggressively for that but my kids experience of school this tear has been a disappointment. Counseling and psychology are good but not good enough to make up for the very low emotional intelligence of some of the teachers.Parent Review6mo ago34 Reviews - Al-Noor School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemost teachers are great, the younger teachers are the best teachers honestly, good environment and everybody knows eachother, like all the high schoolers and middle schoolers all know each other regardless of their grade the kids here are very easy to befriend. Islam is taught very well but the one problem will be that the kids here as of now aren't the best and they do bad things and i'd say its just what this generation has become, the kids here are no better then public school and this is coming from a person who has went to public school for 10 years.Student Review5mo ago15 Reviews - AL-Noor School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIncredible new inclusive public elementary school. Dedicated and engaged staff focused on helping each child develop in small diverse classes with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Modern research-backed curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and incorporates student-led and project-based learning. Beautiful new building with excellent facilities. Active parent involvement and community partnerships.Parent Review3mo ago1 Reviews
