"There are a lot of parks and many young children in the area. It is a decent area for kids, although it is urban. "

"this is a pet friendly area. So many people and businesses enjoy our furry family members and encourage inciting tactics like water bowls outside stores. "

"Good. Sometimes the F train is really packed. Overall it is not too bad generally but when it is bad it’s really bad. "

"Good public transportation is available - though slow on the N and R lines. Travel to midtown is 45 mins. Can be a bit more on weekends and Late at night "

"It’s super hip. There are lots of cool spots in the neighborhood- for lots of different groups. Great restaurants and a cool vibe. Shopping is easy and the subways are close by. "

"Nonstop construction, cutting down of trees for hotels, overcrowded grocery stores, consistently riding rent rates year after year"

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI strongly do not recommend this school. In my experience, the administration handled a serious situation very poorly. I was wrongfully accused of something I did not do, despite there being witnesses who supported my side. The school failed to investigate fairly or protect the student involved.Because of how unprofessionally the situation was handled, my family felt we had no choice but to remove me from the school. Despite paying a large amount of money in tuition and a down payment, we were only given a partial refund, which added financial stress on top of an already damaging experience. This school showed serious issues with fairness, accountability, and how students are treated when problems arise. No student should feel targeted, unheard, or unsafe in their school environment.I urge parents to think very carefully before enrolling their children here and to ask detailed questions about how accusations, discipline, and student rights are handled. Based on my experience, this is not a school I would trust with my child’s well-being.Student Review3mo ago16 Reviews - Rivendell School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience with PS 372 has been hugely disappointing. We thought we were joining an inclusive, warm, supportive school that would create space for differences and encourage students to grow at their own pace. What we found was a school that uses top-down behaviorist practices that expect young kids with disabilities to be able to self-regulate and conform without understanding their needs. Everything boils down to "making good decisions." Kids internalize being "good" or "bad" based on their ability to follow directives throughout the day. Yelling and shaming happen regularly when kids do not comply. The only outlets for play - choice time, recess and PE - are regularly taken away as punishment. The expectations placed on children are far removed from where they actually are developmentally. The school's founding mission of supporting children across a range of profiles and needs appears to have been abandoned. P.S. 372 has lost its way. Buyer beware.Parent Review1mo ago12 Reviews
