"Houses are thin, you can hear every dog go off at night. It just takes something loud then they’re all barking simultaneously, and if you have a dog.. well. Good luck."

"We are close to the strip, the airport, 2 minutes from Trader Joe’s, 1 minute from the library, 10 minutes to the mall. We have everything, but we could use some painted all’s around here. Also we are zoned for Green Valley High. Green Valley Parkway is not comfortable at night as solar lighting has darkened it. I drive, don’t commute by bus"

"Very common to see dogs being walked. I haven’t noticed any widespread problems with people not picking up after their dogs. Not too many dogs outside incessantly barking. "

"We have the farmers market across from the police station and the District. The Barre3 studio offers a great place to workout and meet the most inspiring group of individuals in town. They hold classes in the District and different locations to spice things up."

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have never in my life been so appalled by a school, the principal and overall tacky “professionals.” The principal Jill Keith should be fired as her behavior is outlandish towards the children in the school. She holds personal grudges towards kids and their families and loves to embarrass kids. She is the reason my family have pulled our child out of this school. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI took my kindergartener out of this school after realizing she was expected to do homework every night and it took a minimum of an hour sitting with her and teaching her to complete it. One day she was home sick and when she returned to school the following day was given a packet of homework of all the work from the day she missed and expected to return it to school after one evening or would face grade deductions. KINDERGARTEN. When I wrote a letter to the teacher explaining that this was not in the best interest of my child’s mental health and we would be completing the work in increments of time to allow for time with family and to not stress my child out so much she shuts down I was basically told “well that’s our policy so she’ll be docked points for each day it’s not returned.” The insane pressure and damage to a 5 year olds self esteem because all they care about is their academic scores was beyond inappropriate and unhealthy. I refused to keep my child in a school that had displayed zero care for her social/mental well being. Save your children from this environment. We need healthy families who spend time together and children who have well rounded life experiences. No kindergarten should be crying at the dinner table over homework. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis review has been brewing for about 2 years since our child started at this school. Being the most expensive school in the state you would expect a better experience, especially being there is competition around every corner. Here are some of the issues we had:Teacher turnover: You almost quite literally don't know who your child's teacher is going to be by the day because they leave so often and they scramble to relace them.Child Hygiene: Their refusal to assist your infant/toddler in the pre-stages of bathroom care and potty care is unacceptable, and cost us TWO visits to the quick care for UTIs.Pay Gap: The principal drives a brand new Mercedes and wears Red Bottoms around while the teachers seem to leave as fast as they come due to pay scale.School Safety/Design: The school is poorly designed and offers minimal security compared to the competition. Actually the only security is the front door code. No cameras that parents can look at all. Our childs classroom was right at the front with direct access to outside, the lobby, and the courtyard.Food: There is none.Curriculum: The curriculum is terrible. The curriculum and one-on-one time with your child should reflect upon the price you pay for admission. I could put my child in public school if I wanted them to be just a number. In conclusion compared to the competition you are paying ABSURD prices for less time, you supply your own food, and force your kid into a uniform to match the façade of "luxury" in a sub-par school and environment. If you look at just 2 more schools that are even close to the cost, I put my bottom dollar that this will not be the one that you choose.Parent Review3y ago9 Reviews - Merryhill School
