"Green space, walking trails adjacent. Can take the trail directly from townhouse to Shelly Lake. Dog friendly. Nice neighbors"

"Shelly lake is nearby. A nice area to go for a walk. The area has great schools. Children shouldn’t be too noisy living in the condo buildings since they’re older buildings, and you can hear what the neighbors are doing"

"There are many family oriented community activities and events that take place throughout the year, and such a great quality environment to be surrounded with, especially the nice parks! The area is one of the best locations Raleigh has to offer in my opinion! It is a short distance to any of the surrounding towns/cities as well. While the communities are constantly building/growing/expanding around us, it is still such a quiet/peaceful neighborhood."

"Yes, North Raleigh, located in North Carolina, United States, is known for having some excellent schools. The area is home to several highly regarded public and private educational institutions. These schools often offer rigorous academic programs, extracurricular activities, and resources to support students' learning and growth. It's worth noting that school quality can vary within any given area, so it's important for individuals to research and consider specific schools based on their unique needs and preferences."

"Millbrook Exchange Park is close by, and has a very nice dog park. There are plenty of dogs in the neighborhood and people are good about cleaning up after them. I can't remember ever stepping poop. "

"This is an older, established neighborhood where all generations interact and connect - but without the cookie-cutter look and overly-planned environment. Safe streets for walking, running, and riding bikes. Close to great shopping, restaurants, and schools."

"I don’t have much of an opinion on what I think is important for parents to know as I don’t have any children of my own. I think this area appears to be safe and pleasant for children as far as I have observed. Kids play outside with and without parent supervision and it seems everyone feels very safe and protected and neighbors seem to keep vigil about the surroundings in general. "

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy wife and I are retired and our grandchildren have been attending Lynn Road (LRES) for a total of 11 years so far. We volunteer several days a week because we enjoy being a part of the positive and supportive atmosphere at LRES. We tutor math and reading, monitor programs for advanced students, assist students in the library, help with the annual Student Talent Show and the annual Musical Play, and enjoy beautifying the campus with flowers and bushes. The teachers and staff are top notch and truly care about each child and it definitely shows! But the biggest asset is the active PTA and parent involvement. We know most of the parents as well as the kids because of their participation. LRES is truly like one big family. I know there are a lot of other public and private schools in Raleigh, but I guarantee you won’t find a better one than LRES!Other Review3mo ago34 Reviews - North Ridge Elementary

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at this school over 6 years with 3 different principals, not counting interims. Bell, Baggio and Bransome. We currently have Bransome and she is largely absent. She arrives later than most staff and is not a visible presence in the school for students and staff nor at events for parents. She regularly forgets meetings, phone calls and emails. Our children have never been bullied more than this school year and we are so thankful WCPSS granted us a hardship transfer to get our youngest out. Bullying is not being properly documented and I have never felt more unsafe for my children at school. The principal does not want to be at this school and it SHOWS. Apply to your year-round application school or magnet schools if this is your base.Parent Review1mo ago16 Reviews - North Forest Pines Elementary
