This school should be avoided. They do not keep students safe! My grandson came home with second degree burns that we were never told about it, but had discovered the injury on our own. He was not sent to nurse, his teacher was not told and neither were we. We got nothing from them!They do not act like they want parent engagement.

The teachers and administration have been wonderful during our transition to a new school. They have had events to engage the families and students. One of my children really struggled with his last school and couldn’t pass his end of grade testing. This year he has excelled in the classroom and is on track to pass his eog. The prior reviews may have been accurate but it is not the experience we have had. It’s only our first year here but we hope to continue to have good experience and that the school has the ability to turn around the negatives.

The school deleted my review when I posted the truth. My children went to this school for several years. I also went to this school when I was a kid and boy has it changed!!! My kids do very well and perform at the top of their class and were in AIG. This school was being run like a prison (2025-2026) and I knew I had to find a better environment for my kids. They were miserable!!! The school claims they involve parents, but they don’t. They sit the kids in front of laptops and the teachers do the bare minimum. My sons folder was never updated after November which is beyond slack. No holiday celebrations, they couldn’t talk at all during the day, the food was comparable to slop. The good kids get punished for the bad behaviors of others. I truly could go on and on. Best decision I ever made was getting my kids out and into a different school. They are now happy to go to school and are in a wonderful learning environment. I wouldn’t recommend this school to my worst enemy.

This school honestly needs to shut down. They close after-school care 10 days before school not even thinking about how parents can get there from their jobs! I'm close to losing my job because we moved in the middle of the school year and my kids have to be Uber drove back and forth while they still have nerve to be asking me for money for school events. The staff is not helpful when you run late to get your child. They don't care that you're a single parent, the interim principal flat out refused to help me and my children and it's the last week of school! Ugh! So happy to NEVER deal with those trash folks anymore, GOOD RIDDANCE!

This is my daughters first year at this school and i can say so far the worst year ever in Gaston County. They do not treat their kids with respect they are very disorganized they do not handle things in regards to the codes of conduct and they take matters into their own hands without notifying the parents. Being that my daughter has a disability I would think they would do their job to make sure she was accommodated and their lack of communication in getting things done have failed short and at this time I feel like the district failed her. Do not bring your children to this school.
