5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school should be avoided. They do not keep students safe! My grandson came home with second degree burns that we were never told about it, but had discovered the injury on our own. He was not sent to nurse, his teacher was not told and neither were we. We got nothing from them! They do not act like they want parent engagement.Other Review1y ago3 Reviews - Lingerfeldt Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and administration have been wonderful during our transition to a new school. They have had events to engage the families and students. One of my children really struggled with his last school and couldn’t pass his end of grade testing. This year he has excelled in the classroom and is on track to pass his eog. The prior reviews may have been accurate but it is not the experience we have had. It’s only our first year here but we hope to continue to have good experience and that the school has the ability to turn around the negatives.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Sherwood Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school honestly needs to shut down. They close after-school care 10 days before school not even thinking about how parents can get there from their jobs! I'm close to losing my job because we moved in the middle of the school year and my kids have to be Uber drove back and forth while they still have nerve to be asking me for money for school events. The staff is not helpful when you run late to get your child. They don't care that you're a single parent, the interim principal flat out refused to help me and my children and it's the last week of school! Ugh! So happy to NEVER deal with those trash folks anymore, GOOD RIDDANCE!Parent Review11mo ago5 Reviews - Brookside Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my daughters first year at this school and i can say so far the worst year ever in Gaston County. They do not treat their kids with respect they are very disorganized they do not handle things in regards to the codes of conduct and they take matters into their own hands without notifying the parents. Being that my daughter has a disability I would think they would do their job to make sure she was accommodated and their lack of communication in getting things done have failed short and at this time I feel like the district failed her. Do not bring your children to this school.Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - Victory Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Michael Catholic School in Gastonia, NC is an exceptional PK-8 school that provides a well-rounded and comprehensive education. As a parent of multiple children who attend the school, I have been extremely pleased with the quality of education they receive. The curriculum is centered on the classics and emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills, moral character, and spiritual formation. The teachers are highly qualified and dedicated, and the small class sizes ensure that each of my children receives individualized attention. The school community is strong and welcoming. The school facilities are well-maintained, and the staff is very supportive and responsive. I couldn't be happier with the education my children are receiving and the overall experience at St. Michael Catholic School. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for an exceptional Catholic education for their child in Gaston County.Parent Review3y ago19 Reviews
