"The widely held perception of our neighborhood is plain wrong. Santa Fe Place 27th to Linwood / Prospect to Indiana is a great place to live. Great neighbors, very little crime, walkable, beautiful housing stock, peaceful and quiet. Sure there are many properties and lots that need to be re-built but they take a back seat to the majority of houses that are well kept. The properties sell for so little that it will not be long before the young starting out realize they can own large homes for next to nothing and there will be a shortage of available properties. It may take 5 years but then all of the houses will rise to substantial value. The architectural features of the individual houses rival any in Hyde Park or the Old Northeast,. The residents are friendlier; and more willing to be helpful then my 10 year experience of living in Mission Hills. Driving downtown, the River Market or Westport takes just 8 minutes. Driving to I435 and Metcalf takes 20 min. The Plaza 10 minutes. This is a great central location I would recommend."

"This is a wonderful neighborhood with unique architecture, friendly neighbors who work together to get the word out how nice it is here while at the same time making it even better. Living here is much like living in a small friendly town."

My experience at Hope Leadership Academy has been nothing but great. From the Principal to the staff to the culture of the school as a whole. The teachers care for their students and they go above and beyond. The principal has always been available to speak to me whenever I've asked. I can say that the negative review is not the norm. Hope is a great school and has always been. I have my youngest there, my oldest was there since kindergarten and now is a 6th grader. I have nieces and nephews there as well. Schedule a visit to see for yourself. The principal welcomes visitors and tours.
