"I love the squirrels. The old trees offer lots of shade and lots of room for wildlife. The streets are quiet and always filled with squirrels and birds."
  • Katy G.

  • Dragon_fish76
"Dog owners would love that most places will rent to families with large or multiple dogs. They might object to the city wide leash laws, but as a non dog owner who uses public spaces, I love it! Also you must pick up after your pets as well."
  • Greg G.
"Nice little city within the Kansas City metro area but with out the 1% salary tax. Also you have to pay for your own trash disposal but I like the fact that I get a choice of vendors and am not limited to 2 trash bags as others in kc are."
  • Shelby G.

  • Mineminalex
"My neighborhood is nice, but not very friendly; our neighbors are very nosy. And there is quite a bit of crime in our neighborhood. I wish the area was more secure and welcoming."
  • Jessica B.
"I love living in Gladstone. So friendly and close to everything ! I feel safe living here and walking our dog at night. "
  • Lizbeth G.
"Neighbors here are extremely nosy. If you have dogs they will only be friendly upon arrival. After a few months of living there..be ready to have city notes on your door about your dogs. Dogs are like children they go outside to play and they happen to get loud. You settle them down, sush them but like children they go back to playing. My dogs are older so I can’t even imagine if I had younger pups. "

"In the summers, we have community "Theater in the Park" productions at Oak Grove Park. There are various free concerts held in Gladstone square during warmer seasons, and it's converted into a skating rink during Christmas time. In October, there's the Gladfest with rides, craft tents, local vendors and businesses, and food. "
