"Make sure they are fully educated on traffic safety. Also street parking is a pain! College kids have way too many vehicles per household."

"People are super nice. The way that the entire block is clean and free of clutter is amazing. The ‘homey’ feel gives it the most nostalgia for me. "

"Eastown is less than a mile from downtown, so my commute is very short. Less than one cigarette away. "
  • Pennie S. J.
"Very diverse, wide range of hippies and yuppies and hipsters live together here in relative peace, good shopping and restaurants here "
  • Joshua D.
"Dogs are a very common sight. They're welcome in several places locally during certain hours. There's a couple dog parks around but could be another. "
  • Nadia Z.
"Everything is within fifteen minutes! The freeways are close by. Sometimes it is a little congested but that’s just Eastown"
  • Lauren G. V.
"People are always walking dogs and pretty much there are always dogs at Wilcox park. Many of the businesses have water bowls as well. We love our neighborhood "
  • Mike G.
"I’ve lived here for a year. I love it here. The atmosphere is way different then where I’m from. I moved here from Toledo Ohio on a job transfer. Love the neighborhood everyone is friendly."
  • Margarita
"It’s a very well patrolled area which helps keep chaos away and is in a great walking distance to both Eastown and the new Wealthy shopping strip"
  • Derek r.
"I have lived in my house in the eastown neighborhood of Grand Rapids Michigan for 5 years. It has been a wonderful experience. I have easy walkability to many bars, restaurants, local parks, grocery stores, and coffee shops. Eastown community association is very active in trying to improve our neighborhood and sponsors many community improvement activities, festivals, and charity events. "

"We absolutely love living in Eastown with our 2 young kids. Through schools of choice, our kids are getting a tuition free montessori education through Grand Rapids Public Schools. We can walk to Wilcox Park, shops, many incredible restaurants or stop by the farmer's market. We have great neighbors and couldn't love where we live more."
  • Grant P.
"This is the premier walkable/bikeable area of Grand Rapids. "
