"Everyone in my neighborhood has been here for many years. We all look out for eachother. Many people here have been here our whole lives- a majority of us has been here for 30, 40, even far beyond 50 years. We are a tight knit community welcoming to anyone who is respectful. "

"It’s mostly Spanish families. Hearing the children laughter and music in the streets. There are multiple neighbors selling ice cream on their bikes. Very nice and delicious treats."

"I would not recommend area to buyers or renters. Junk yard buying up lots.. House from next door reeks from human waste, the noise from scrap being dumped into large scrap hauling trucks. When the trucks go through the area or large heavy scrap is dumped on the ground the vibration echo's through the ground cracking the wall's in the house. The junkyard also likes to burn insulation off scrap wire, so people have to bear with the oder of plastic burning and the heavy blue smoke. On Stecker st.. The shop at the end of the street repair diesel engine trucks, after the engines are repaired they test run the engines for hours. The noise is overwhelming. The area smells from lubricants and diesel fuel that are coming from truck city off of Wyoming st.. Now would you raise a family here! Lately the area has become a flood zone, sewer's in the street don't work and there is more of a problem with water backing into the basements from the junkyard."
