Springdale Gardens

As an alumnus of the University of Michigan, Harvard University, and Rochester Institute of Technology, I wouldn't be where I am without the strong educational foundation I received at William Paca. I remember walking to school with my friends from Palmer Park. I remember my art teacher, technology teacher, and all of my grade-level teachers who instilled in me confidence and a love for education. My growth was supplemented by access to the two community centers near the school (i.e., Palmer Park Community Center and the Sports and Learning Complex). I was able to learn to swim, attend several camps, and classes focused on entrepreneurship, animation, and other computing skills.Finally, I am grateful to my single mother, who attended parent-teacher nights and was a strong advocate for my education at home. She encouraged my creativity and allowed me to explore different career paths until I ultimately found my passion in computer science.

This school is so amazing. The teachers and staff are so supportive of the students, they really try to make learning fun and understandable for students. They provide many activities and event which are free. They do a great job encouraging students. The amount of helpful programs available assists a lot. The staff is very respectful, responsive and always willing to assist in any way possible.
