The principle goes above a beyond for the children that come in her building the teachers as well. They keep the school clean and safe for your children.Parent Review5y ago27 Reviews - Fort Garrison Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with this school has been exhaustive for so many reasons. Its cliques from families to teachers to principal and entire staff. I had to advocate for my daughters rights then advocate for my son against faculty harassment. Its frustrating that they forget they are working with families. Children should be allowed to be children. My daughter also shares that teachers who were dismissed for aggression in the past were hired back. She shared there are bullying in school. My son who is active and loves socializing was constantly reminded to fit into this school since prk. He has been singled out by the teachers through removal from activities and events without parents knowledge. As a parent I keep finding things out from my child instead of a teacher. Zero communication. In prek, I was threatened by teacher that if my son doesn't behave certain way then "she knows every teacher at Fort Garrison so it will be based on my recommendation". she retired but it sets the tone for how this place functions. Overall experience has been of adult "high school drama" and which kid is "the favorite" and will single out kids who are active and dont conform. Thats what they exemplify to kids in their classes. If you want to o succeed in this school you must be a stay at home parent who is constantly volunteering at the school. There are some teachers that are great but the rest are in desperate need of long term vacation as they seem exhausted especially kindergarten to 1st grade. Lunch ladies are yelling angrily at kids to stay quiet (lunch time and recess are the only time kids could be kids) and im glad we are getting out of this place. Its been a very long and frustrating journey at Fort Garrison.Parent Review1mo ago14 Reviews - Wellwood International Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school provided so much care for my kid. The assistant principal understands my concern. They provided aid, and IEP was also offered and updated. The teacher is understanding. He even wanted me to get involved in school during their out-of-school field trip. I understand the teacher has a lot of time on his hands and I am grateful that he has patience to my son. The school continues to shape my kid in order to function well in this school.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - The Independent Jewish Academy of Baltimore

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was not safe at this school. The Administration is horrible and says they care but actions say otherwise. Turnover is ridiculous where students really suffer. Teachers don't answer emails even when taking the proper channels. They promote diversity but look at the school stats- it's not. They promote inclusion but they don't embrace diversity. They promote curiosity but only if you adhere to their way of thinking. They promote kindness but there is terrible bullying. They promote a safe environment supporting mental health but cause more anxiety than any child should endure. Point blank, this school ruined my child. Rules are not imposed equitably. The school is a mess with the current leadership and the school rests on their previous reputation. It's time for changes. Or, better yet just don't attend here.Parent Review2y ago34 Reviews
