9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been going to SOES since PreK3 and we have loved every single second of it up until this year. Her first grade teacher has been less than impressive and you can tell this is only a job for her. That she doesn’t actually care about how well her students are doing. We are only two months into the school year and I wish we could transfer to another teacher. The fact that she didn’t even acknowledge my daughter at the trunk or treat event this year was extremely disheartening. I sure do hope this is just a one off year and that next year is much betterParent Review6mo ago12 Reviews - Chapel Hill Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child needs help and support don’t let the blue ribbon award fool you. Special education here is often given by a para pro (not even a certified teacher.). Admin will spend more time hiding your child’s weakness so they don’t have to be held accountable or give any intervention. They began to read my child’s tests outloud to him so he would get As and Bs and then used his inflated grades to deny him help (despite him being 2 years behind in reading). Of course they didn’t communicate to me that he was getting assistance on his tests. It was disgusting. Principal sits in her office all day and only responds to parents if you reach out to a board or council member. I was extremely disappointed with the entire admin, counselors and special education team. I know others in special ed who have had a similar experience. They put all the kids in GT classes to try and accelerate the scores but won’t help the ones behind.Parent Review7mo ago17 Reviews - Perry Hall Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStill suffer childhood trauma and depression because of my experiences here. Constany bullied, harassed, and put down by teachers. Hated this school and would never come back, nor would I honestly recommend anyone to.Other Review2y ago9 Reviews - Life Source Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs someone who attended RCCS from 6th to 11th grade, I did not enjoy my experience here. The administration is hit or miss, they weight the “good kids” experience over everyone else. There is a lot of racism, bullying, and rudeness. The only good thing is the education, which is pretty good. Some of the teachers there are pretty bad, others are good. I was miserable there.Other Review2y ago11 Reviews - Heritage Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll the teachers and staff are wonderful role models for the children and show their love and concern for the children every day. The Montessori philosophy is carried out on a daily basis. My son is in his first year in the Early Childhood Program and has progressed in learning and in social skills more than I could have imagined. What he learns in school carries over into what he does at home; including his conversations, use of words, and how he performs tasks to be more independent. My son is excited and smiling every day when he goes to school, and comes out of school smiling and showing us or telling us what he learned in school that day. We are very pleased with our son's progress and are excited about the years ahead at Heritage Montessori.Parent Review15y ago15 Reviews - Perry Hall Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child falls in line easily and you raise your children very devout, they will do fine here. If your child has any behavioral issues, special needs that need met, or acts like a child that is learning their rights and wrongs, they will struggle here. You have to pay for accommodations, and they will not follow the plans set that you’re actually paying for (think IEP but they try to make money on it.) I have never see a school so money hungry. Tuition isn’t enough, they insist on charging kids for “dress down days” and will even charge parents a fee that don’t do the 24 hour per year “volunteer” time. This school is very greedy and doesn’t allow kids to grow. If there is an issue, expect your child to be suspended for the slightest of issue. They will not investigate issues but rather immediately punish. Good luck. If your kid is easy in every way, I’m sure they’ll be fine here.Parent Review1mo ago17 Reviews - Honeygo Elementary
