"Quiet and friendly. Neighbors look after each other. Many sit on their front porches most evenings and wave or say hello."

"I’ve lived here for 6 years and most people are friendly. Giant is about a mile away which is walkable, there’s a bowling alley, gym, liquor store, nail salon, barber shop, takeout food places at the Parkville shopping center. The homes have charm since most are built in the 20s and 30s."

"This area is a quite and very friendly area. Closet to downtown and the white marsh and Towson mall. Located near at least 6 different colleges. the rumor is this area is the best kep secret as far as a great place to live no crime ,people friendly altogether a great!"

"Your typical Parkville neighborhood. Nothing to see or do unless you go elsewhere. Biggest attraction is Parkville Shopping Center. Back yards are cramped & your windows are mere feet from others. Parkville is suited for familes with kids & people who do not care about privacy."

"I bought my house in the Woodring neighborhood in July and moved in at the end of August 2010. After 6 months, I can say I feel this is a nice, safe, quiet, and friendly neighborhood I would recommend to all my friends. Compared to everywhere else I've ever lived (Glen Burnie, Towson, Cockeysville, Fallstaff neighborhood (NW Baltimore city near Pikesville), & Owings Mills), I like this area better than every place except Cockeysville. While the Cockeysville area is nicer, I'm still close to Towson & White Marsh as well as downtown via Northern Parkway & I-83, and only 5 - 10 min. w/traffic & lights from I-695, I-95, & I-895 - so I love the overall geographical location. All of the neighbors I've met are incredibly friendly, and since most homes here have long driveways there is plenty of street parking for visiting friends & family. I've seen foxes & rabbits at night and I've been told the occasional deer has been known to run through the neighboorhood. The area is about as quiet at night as Cockeysville and there seems to be less traffic; however, Harford Road & Belair Road are busy during morning/afternoon rush hours. The businesses & resturants in the Parkville area as nice enough for my everyday basic needs, but Towson is only about 4 miles to the west and White Marsh is about 5 miles northeast so I don't have to go far when I'm looking for an upscale store or nice restaurant."
