6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I couldn’t be happier with Forest Ridge Elementary School. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth and sense of community that makes this school special. The staff and leadership team truly care about every child—they go above and beyond to make sure students are safe, supported, and excited about learning.Academically, the school sets high expectations while also providing the right support so that every child can succeed. Teachers are creative, dedicated, and keep families in the loop about progress. I love how much emphasis they place on both academics and social-emotional growth. Programs like the Zones of Regulation help students learn how to manage their feelings and build positive relationships.Forest Ridge also shines when it comes to diversity and inclusivity. The student body reflects so many cultures and backgrounds, and the school celebrates that in meaningful ways through events, activities, and curriculum. It’s wonderful to see children learning in such an accepting and respectful environment.Communication from the school is excellent, with regular newsletters and updates so parents always know what’s happening. There’s also a strong partnership with the PTA, which plans family-friendly events that bring everyone together. Most importantly, my child feels happy and proud to be a FRES Eagle. The school’s values of Focus, Respect, Empathy, and Safety are more than just words - they are lived out daily. Forest Ridge Elementary truly is a place where students can soar to success!Parent Review8mo ago29 Reviews - Guilford Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipals, teachers, support staff here lack the understanding of developmental stages and the ability to work with students that require them. They are in need of educational support to understand that children with behavioral and learning needs are not managed the way they manage their own personal family issues and will never meet the standards or expectations of a caring community or village. They are not equipped to provide a safe learning environment for children and need to be vetted on their safety protocols and implementation of educational support for children with 504s and IEPs.Parent Review1mo ago14 Reviews - Bollman Bridge Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could post the reports & photos of my son here but I can't, I wish I could but I cant... KINDERGARDEN- Ulceration on the bus & the school brushed it off like the kids were playing.First grade, busted eye & pushed down within the first 2 months of school, as usual acted like my son was the issue when he's the sweetest but this school runs this way, they blame both children no matter the situation... The teachers here are just glorified baby sitter that don't care what so ever.. Tgese kids need guidance, if you're not willing to care then leave the school, that's all I have to say besides I hope you all have a bad morning & one hell of a nightParent Review7mo ago10 Reviews - Deep Run Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn our family's experience, Cradlerock is a small community school with administrators, teachers, and staff who truly seek to address each student as an individual and a whole person. Over the years, I've enjoyed speaking with many of them and seeing all of them host several before-and-after-school outreach events for parental input (monthly online plenary meetings) and interactive parental guidance (Math, Reading, Science, and Social-Emotional Awareness Nights). Our child has taken advantage of free small group, after-school, teacher-led tutoring, and above-grade math classes, while auditioning and participating in the school's musical! CRES also has the benefit of last year's best all-around county psychologist. Principal Notari and one of the two VPs are new this year, but doing well and fully invested as far as we can tell. The CRES PTA has been a strong, influential organization each of the several years we've been there too, which also speaks volumes. We're so grateful to have these men and women in our children's lives, pushing and prodding them to be their best selves, academically, creatively, emotionally, and physically! If we could fund all their needs and give them all raises, our family would. They literally ROCK!Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews
