"There is easy access to major highways, including Route 1 and I-95. Traffic I'd manageable, and public transportation -- including commuter rail and bus lines -- are close by. "

"Friendly and safe neighborhood. Pretty houses large and small. Near Bird Park and the elementary and middle schools. Wonderful town to have a family and bring up children!"

"We have lived in East Walpole for three years, and absolutely love it. Great quiet neighborhood, but very close to 95, shopping, Boston, & Providence. Bird Park is one of the highlights, as well as Adams Farm."

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am beyond impressed with the education my children have received at Old Post Rd school. The sense of community at OPR fostered by faculty, teachers, parents and students is remarkable. We have had such a great experience that we would not move to a new house that would require attendance at any other school within the district (despite them being equally regarded within town). If I were to say anything negative it would be that the recess aides need better training.Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - League School for Autism

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school ,like others like it ,is primarily concerned with appearance and profit. The best thing that you can do is to homeschool your child. I definitely would highly suggest not enrolling your child in residential here unless you are ready to accept losing all access and rights to your child. My daughter has progressive medical disorders which have not been addressed or met with proper care. Her feet require surgery and whenever I had mentioned to her about getting her help for her tics and filming her feet to show a professional since league would not take her to her specialist instead of taking accountability. The league school told the state that I inappropriately talk to my daughter and filmed her. Then , at an event, a child was having aggressive behaviors , which happens I get it, however, instead of attempting to control the situation staff stood by and talked and left amongst each other while this child slammed other children to the ground. before this child could slam my daughter to the ground yet again I got between him and her told him no and yelled over the music for staff to come get him. Something any responsible, parent or person would have done. But again, I remind you that places such as the league facility would rather push families out of the children’s lives then to have them have family to help advocate further needs involved. because I chose to advocate for my daughter‘s medical needs, and because I chose to get in between her and this child, I lost all of my parental rights and access to my child. There’s reason why the majority of kids who are residential care do not have anybody, and that is because facilities like this create lies. They are only about profit and appearance not the better interest of children that they provide care for.Parent Review3mo ago10 Reviews - TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI previously recommended TECCA for 2e learners; after our second year, I have many reservations. For parents of 2e, TECCA suggests they have a program that can accommodate 2e learners, that has not been our experience this year. This is not a strength-based learning program. None of the teachers, administrators, or special education staff seem familiar with best practices for 2e learners. My child’s 504 seems more like a suggestion to teachers, rather than a means of ensuring appropriate access to curriculum that allows one to accurately demonstrate understanding. There are numerous technological issues this year. If it is on our end, a child is penalized, but when it is tge fault of the school— well, “these things happen from time to time.”The Pearson curriculum is very good. My student has learned a great deal more using the program than in previous traditional school settings where my student was not allowed to advance at their pace. The program can be purchased for home school use.We do have to supplement instruction from teachers with Khan Academy often. The quality of teachers and competency is hit or miss, in our experience. We are trying one more year while I look into programs for 2e learners. I think ultimately, as many 2e families find, we will home school. In fairness, my student acknowledges, they are not bullied and do learn more than in previous experiences. They also like the engagement with other students. It may still be worth trying, but be cautiously optimistic. There is a similar ignorance regarding 2e among teachers and administrators in TECCA that leads to misunderstandings and unnecessary struggles.Parent Review1mo ago22 Reviews
