"Great neighborhood. Walking to distance to everything; schools, groceries, restaurants, fast food, commuter rail and buses. People are out and about and friendly. Streets are safe. "

"Wonderful city. Safest of its size in the whole country. First class schools, wonderful library, convenient shopping, lots of restaurants. Newton is called the garden city because of the extensive trees found everywhere."

"There are both off leash parks and designated area parks. I do not own a dog so I cannot speak too much. Also there are coyotes and wild turkeys which may be dangerous to small dogs."

"People have a high level of education, while being down to earth and are very family oriented. We love the proximity to the Mass Pike which makes it easy to get to Boston or anywhere to the West also. Neighbors are friendly and involved in the school system and the town politics."

"It’s a suburban hamlet in close proximity to the thriving beat of Boston. Close to Fenway Park, close to the Celtics and Bruins, Patriots to the south and easy access to highways north and west, this is the epicenter of where it all happens!"

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child is white and doesn’t not have learning disabilities, specifically dyslexia, then this school should work for you. It’s all about quantity and not quality when it comes to special education. They will meet with your child 5x a week but your child will be working with someone who is not well trained, certified, or has ongoing education. A child reading and writing 3 grades behind grade level is not “progress.” The school only cares about staying within budget when it comes to children with learning differences.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Newton Country Day School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at this school for several years now and can honestly say it is the best thing we have ever done for our daughter. We were hesitant about the school for several reasons including being an All Girl school and a very wealthy one BUT we were wrong. The girls tend to support each other and there seems to be so much less drama than our previous public school. When you take the opposite sex out of the equation you see just how much less distracted the environment is and how much better the girls get along. The bond between these girls is very impressive. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone who is considering private. This school is supportive, challenging, full of opportunities, and will help your daughter become a stronger person and a more successful student. Each year the graduating class goes off to top colleges/universities throughout the country. You can view the list by going on their website. Newton Country Day School does an amazing job at preparing these girls for the rigor of college and for life in general.Parent Review6y ago1 Reviews
