"It’s pretty safe for your kids to stand on the bus stop my granddaughter did it and there was no problems and kids ride bikes, play basketball so it’s a safe neighborhood for the most part, it used to be a heavily populated homeless problem but now it’s not "
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood has public transportation which takes me to and from work and both grocery stores are within walking distance "

"You’ll probably end up allowing your dog to leave it’s turds in everyone else’s yard. You’ll also allow it to yap loudly at 2 am while everyone is trying to sleep and if someone speaks up, it’s because they’re crazy not you. "

"It's close to everything! Churchill Downs, the football stadium, UofL, the airport, highway... everything you need. Always something going on! "

"Beautiful area with safe and open space for a children to run around and play. Close to Iroquois Park. "

"wasn't a bad place to live but lots of people go through your trash and pick up things off the side of the road."
  • Alex H.
"it is right next to UofL and Churchill Downs. it has a bad vagrant problem but is on the upswing with landlords buying up properties repairing them and renting them out bringing up property values. there are still better neighborhoods."
  • Amy E.
"Keep your kids indoors. Make sure your dog is safe inside a fenced yard. Light up your back yard so your not an easy target. Get an alarm service. Watch for needles in the alleys."
  • Meagan L.
"This is not the safest area, but if you take basic precautions you should not have many problems. I’ve lived here for over a year and haven’t had anything alarming happen. "

"Too many homeless people walking around, my dogs do not like this , they were digging in my truck one night "
  • Kizzeekill
"I lived in Wilder Park for 9 years as a first time homeowner. I experienced no crime-theft, burglary, definitely no assault. Saw regular police patrols; as a single woman this was important to me. I had excellent neighbors who watched out for me, and me for them. I liked my proximity to downtown and the expressways. I had the luxury of TWO Kroger stores within 4 blocks, and a Planet Fitness. Could hear Churchill Downs bugle calls, as well as Papa Johns football games, from my porch. NICE part of Louisville to live."
