"A closer dog park and or an indoor dog run. I don’t know about others but I have two very active dogs and I hate the cold. "

"Lots of options to walk dogs on a leash like Burrows Trail, Hobbs Park, South Park and Watson Park isn’t far. Some of the old brick sidewalks can be kind of a pain though. Never had any problems with other dogs roaming around off leash or anything. "

"I love living so close to downtown, yet in a quiet, family friendly and young professional part of town. We are close to the food truck festival, block parties, concerts, bars, and the best restaurants in Lawrence "

"I've lived here for 11 years in a house I own, really no trouble...some drunk kids tried to steal the stereo from my car back in 2010 and another "drunk student probably" left a metal windmill in front of my gate....but thats all...I have lots of nice stuff on my porch and in my yard and nothing has ever been stolen or damaged. I feel very safe here. Love my neighbors...probably the squirrels are the most destructive and I don;'t; my sharing with them and the bunnies, possums and birds and the kitties who live near by. We love our diverse people, community gardens, and exotic "lawns""

"Great walkable area close to shopping, dining and entertainment. This neighborhood embodies the spirit of Lawrence. Inclusive, friendly artistic and a little eccentric."
