Two of my cousins have attended Independence Academy of Indianapolis. I have watched them flourish since they started in 2008. They both have graduated, gone to college and will be moving into their own separate apartments next year. This wouldn't have been possible had it not been for this school and their staff.I attended the end of year talent show. Upon arriving at the school I noticed that everyone was so happy. The students were greeting the staff joyfully and with excitement. The talent show was amazing. There was a wide variety of acts. All of the students supported each other. There was a person who got stage fright and started crying. She left the stage. Some of the kids went back to support her. She came back on stage and every kid was thrilled, clapping and genuinely happy for her. It was beautiful. I will never forget the feeling of love and kindness that came across from the first step into the Independence Academy of Indianapolis.
