"There is no dog park but there are plenty of walking areas in the neighborhood. I’m not a dog owner so I can’t speak much on this subject "

"I wish the neighborhood was friendlier. Most people keep to themselves. Close to stores. For the most part neighborhood is quiet."

"It is decent neighborhood. Close to stores and restaurants. I wish the neighbors were more friendly and spoke to us. I wish the roads were better in our area. "

"An established neighborhood that although it lacks sidewalks, is “walker friendly” and had friendly neighbors that take care of their houses"

"For the most part this neighborhood has been okay but it is getting tougher and I’m a little worried sometimes of the violence reaching my specific neighborhood. They already do not deliver pizza after 7 o’clock pm"

"There are so many shops and restaurants in the area. There is a Lowes right around the corner and a Walmart, too. There is also a host of restaurants. The highway is only about a 5 min. drive away. Everything is just so convenient and less than a few minutes driving distance away. I really loved it here!"

"This is a pocket neighborhood with only one entrance. There is a pool and wooded area with a creek and walking trail. The pool has a swim team for the kids and swim lessons, and there are also movie nights and other fun activities. The pool can also be rented out, complete with lifeguards, for parties. There is also a large open field where kids can play sports or fly kites. There is a voluntary HOA that is social in nature--has parties, parades, etc. The HOA also takes care of snow removal and street light fees. Neighbors keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and promptly report to police as there is an active neighborhood crime watch. Most of the kids in the neighborhood go to the year-round lottery schools--Fishback and New Augusta. It is also very close to The International School of Indianapois, Brebeuf, and Orchard. If you work at St. Vincents 86th, DowAgrosciences, 3M, Park 100 or even downtown, the commute from this neighborhood is very easy. My husband worked at DowAgro and his commute was less than 10 minutes. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood as well as retirees and young couples. People in the neighborhood keep up their yards and property. It is also close to Eagle Creek and the IMA. Just down Michigan is the IMA where you can access bike trails throughout the city. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had two children here and have experienced pre-K through 8th grade. It does employ a very student-led approach to learning, which has worked well for my kids. Pre-COVID, they often took field trips and do a nice job of balancing academics with physical activity and project learning. The older of the two transitioned well to a rigorous academic high school and has a >4.0 GPA as a junior, so the relatively free-form approach certainly didn't impact her success negatively. We've had a great experience there!Parent Review4y ago8 Reviews
