"I ride my bike. its easy and safe. lots of bike lanes and were very close to UIC, downtown, United center, restaurants down Taylor Street and the community is going through positive changes "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for almost twenty years and seen many changes. Douglas is a quiet tree-lined oasis on the west side, close to downtown, close to west loop and walking distance from the Lagunitas Brewery and Restaurant. Plus it's a popular filming destination for movies and TV shows, with Cinespace Movie Studio at the end of the block. "

"none just an average working class hood that went through a 90s era crack, pcp, hashish craze and ended up with cul-de-sacs and one ways and is happening again this time due to film production and brewing with not much thought to how residents are affected. not much input with community town halls that are local, not the meeting miles away with a Gerrymandered rep far away and the nearby one doesn't pertain to those affected. jmtc. "

"its not safe to walk around. lots of drug addicts and dealers. lots of loud and disrespectful teen and adults. it's a constant fight to keep our streets clean. people around here love garbage "

"I'm pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of neighbors. The park is nice, and enormous with swimming, field house, etc."
