"Noisy and to much traffic especially garbage trucks in the early morning hours . A lot of block party and parades that close Kalākaua Ave and create traffic."
  • Itkdsym
"The best attraction for your kids are the beach and museums not many other attractions around that are safe ir allow for kids under 2 years old"

  • Trulia User
"The traffic is not so bad. But definitely a lot of people going to the Diamond Creater area. Overall, It sure looks like a very nice area/community. "

" It sure just visiting but I like the neighborhood. I would definitely buy property around here or around the neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and shopping stores, malls, shops and activities for the family. Lots of nice beaches "

"It’s got a family oriented atmosphere and still gives you that Hawaii island vibe since it’s down the street from Waikiki"
  • Helene B.
"Riding my bike or walk everywhere. Nice area but noisy with traffic, people. Unfortunately a lot of homeless. "
  • Tyesha C.
"Waikiki gives you access to a lot of great shopping & restaurants. You do need a car of you don’t like walking. There is hourly parking garages all over downtown. You’re in walking distance from the beach. If you have a family of 3 more more you may not want to live downtown. There are a lot of homeless people around, be mindful of your surroundings. "
  • Dean C.
"The bus line is just steps from my front door. The city’s bus system is wonderful and will take you anywhere around the island for just a few dollars"
  • Dean C.
"Many condos in Waikiki have a “no pets” policy. Unfortunately, Honolulu is behind the curve in this regard. However, there are some beautiful green spaces to walk your dog. "
  • Ashtonmooney808
"I’ve lived in Waikiki for 3 years and have been in and out of places all over the island I love the island in general, Waikiki is a great places to celebrate and have a great time any holiday family time or gathering, I personally don’t recommend it because of how small it is and easy packed it can get traffic can be difficult and there has a been a lot of documented thefts here in Waikiki being targeted towards “tourists”"
  • Fox.natasha
"It’s close to everything from ocean, parks, restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Convenient. "
  • Trulia User

"There are alot of homeless people and drug users on the streets. Beautiful area, just be aware of where your children are."
  • J Kim
"Fun living here for sure. So many nice restaurants and shops. Near to beach’s and parks. Sometimes I get tired of busy vacation seasons and people from all over the places but it is still my favorite place to live. "
  • Lennard

"I I wish I can own a dog most apartments don't let you have dogs and if they do let you have dogs you have to pay $500 for a deposit and I just can't do that so I love dogs and I like my neighbors to have dogs and I would like to have a dog but just doesn't seem not to mention I'm blind and I don't need a seeing eye dog because I use a cane and I get around just fine aloha and thank you"
  • Cherisemusselman
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for several years and it’s always changing with new businesses and eateries. It’s nice with the beach being only a few blocks away no matter where you live in Waikiki. Also, Ala Moana Mall and Walmart are within walking/biking distance. "
  • Cherise M.
